Hi all,

Just want to ask all that has dealt with the sound font. Is there a Halo themed sound font available? I couldnt find it in the forums (maybe I am looking in the wrong places.) But if not, would it be possible if someone could make a Halo themed sound font?

True that! I would love to see one too! Hopefully when I decided on which saber with sound to purchase, and someone comes up with a Halo Theme.

I swear, I am going to customise that saber into a Halo theme lightsaber.

That would be awesome! Master Chief with a light saber would look so cool! If I ever figure out how to make soundfonts myself, a Halo one will certainly be at the top of my list.

Yup! It would that cool! There is so much things we can change about the lightsaber (leds, pommels, blades, exterior aesthetic look etc) why not a halo theme sound font? But to find a good sound font that compliments the lightsaber takes a lot of hard work.

I shall read up on converting mp3/wav to .isu files and see it works  ;D

Yup! Hahah! There's no need to use the search function, as its a sticky post right on the 1st page. A few new topics above mine! Lets just hope my laptop can be able to support downloading of new software. My laptop is an ancient, so to speak, 8 years old.

Okay, So I have a problem while converting the halo theme.

When It converts, only 5 secs of the entire song is played. (The entire song I trim was about 50 secs)

Anyone has any idea on how to extend the sound font to play longer?

Uploading video on the soundfont. Anyone has any idea why there is some static sound on the soundfont?

Probably didn't do the hz and such right. I forget how its done though x.x Or could be too long in the trimmings as well. Hope you get it fixed. Maybe make a full energy sword font too??

I went with 16bit 48k Hz.. Might have to see what happened lol

Okay, I have just .ISU the necessary files. now awaiting my Li-ion batteries to get fully charged before putting the sound fonts into the obsidian soundboard to test it out. But if anyone could do a better job, please go ahead and do it. This is my 1st attempt to convert the files. So bear with me for a while, while I test it out ;D

What do you guys think?  ;D

I opened up to put this soundfont in. My friend would be ecstatic to hear this when he switches it on.  ;D ;D

Hope my voice didnt sound funny. Had to balance a in-ear ear piece with microphone, my phone and the lightsaber. (Thats why it might sound a little funny)

Currently i am looking up and researching why does it seem to have some slight static and maybe a little bit of echo while the idle sound (Halo theme) is playing.

The Halo 4 E3! Trailer works well with no hint of static and echo, although Cortana's voice seems faraway (that was how it sounded like in the video)

Hopefully, I can be able to upload this soundfont when everything is complete (ie no static and echo). But if someone beats me to it, then go ahead and download from that person  ;D

(I just started learning how to convert mp3 to wav to .lsu format just a few hours back, this is my first time using and converting files so bear with me while I learn the skills!)

Your voice sounded fine. It certainly doesn't seem like your first time converting the files. I kinda liked the echo for the main Halo theme. It made the music seem more powerful (if that is even possible). I'm sure you'll figure out the static soon. 😁

Hahah! Thanks! I was worried coz i wasnt sure if the mic was on the side that was facing up, had to check over and over to make sure i didnt accidentally put the microphone hole onto the phone screen, thus muting the voice down. ;D

Well, converting the files was easy as I was a lurker on this forum before i decided to join in the fun hahaha!  8) and that I spend a decent amount of time converting plenty of stuff so I knew what I was doing... somewhat.. ;D

I see! It did? Never noticed that! It might be because of the static that was interfering that I didnt pay much attention to the booming sound effect of the theme!

You never know for sure until you hear the sound in person, but it certainly sounded pretty darn amazing.

True bro, until one hears the sound font in person. Im hearing the static over and over when the hum starts  :(

I don't know much about what could cause the static, but have you tried messing with the volume of the hum? I could be gaining static if you have the volume up really loud. *shrugs*

Hmm, i did. I turned it down and the static is still there.

Interesting thing yesterday night. I finished re doing the sound font yesterday night and was uploading it to the sound board when i heard it sizzle and smoke pops out.

Now I am corresponding with Mr Emory to see what can be done. Gonna be hoping i get it fixed soon and then get it back in time to gift my friend as a birthday present. But most probably I wont be able to surprise my friend with a halo theme sound font lightsaber. I reckon by the time it gets back, it will be just a few days before its going out wrapped up.

That is unfortunate about the sound board, but that could have caused some of the static issues. I hope you get it back in time for your friend's birthday. You can always sneakily add the Halo sound font to his saber after you give it to him.

Yup man! Hmmm.. have you shipped back your saber for repairs before? Right now, I'm stuck at what to write for "Description of contents"

Nope. I barely got my first saber the beginning of this month. Hmm...electronics or toys? That would probably get the least amount of attention when shipping it.

Mr Emory replied me this morning and I have just sent it out for repairs just now. Hoping to get it repaired and sent back soon!

And getting ready to distribute those name cards when my friends are in awe of the lightsaber at the birthday party! I kNow they will be clamoring to try it out and see how good the saber is!

i made one use lockup 1  as lockup is the un edited file i only was able to get one impact sound so add what you want u should have about 30% remaining on your board

What ever happened this font? Bumping because a Halo energy sword sounds promising
