Being in charge is overrated.
You're absolutely right, and yet people still fight and claw to be the one in charge. For some, it's because they honestly think they're best-suited for the job at the moment (rightly or wrongly, they honestly believe it), and for others, it's simply because they crave the power. I'm sure there are other reasons, such as "keeping THAT PERSON from being in charge," or whatever, but very many people still seem to want to make sure they are the ones in charge, no matter how much of a burden it can be. |

Personally, I took the position for 3 reasons:
1.) More Pay... which still is nothing to brag about...but every little bit helps.
2.) More Benefits
3.) Otherwise they would bring someone in from the outside who has no clue how the place operates then I would wind up fighting them constantly.
But yea, I hate it. Am currently trapped by skill level and region. Long Story.
