Title: Dark Monarch
Post by: Luna on April 23, 2013, 09:20:35 PM
I got a request a few days ago for pics of my beloved Dark Monarch. After some camera troubles (which necessitated the use of my cell phone camera) and other random delays, I've got a few to post, with more to come later.

Luna....would this be a good saber for guys with large hands to wield?  My concern is the bulbous area where the switch is....seems it might make grasping it there a bit akward...hence since you own one, a beautiful dark one at that, I figured I would ask you....

Cheers

I have somewhat large hands and it's very easy to wield. You don't grip the bulb, though - not fully. Grip right above the bulge if you're using it one-handed (most of your hand will end up on the bulge, but the important parts like the thumb will be very secure thanks to the little choke). It takes some time to get used to, but it's beyond worth it. It's so solid on impact and just feels... buttery. To me, at least. I still prefer lighter hilts for spinning and generally messing around, but the Dark Monarch is my go-to for dueling.

Way nice saber. Looks good in Guardian Blue. Or Arctic whichever.

Great photos, Luna. The blue looks much better with the hilt then I would have thought.
