Title: Sound board problems
Post by: Taieer on January 26, 2014, 07:29:30 PM
I've emailed US, but just wondering if anyone has encountered similar issues and has a solution.

I received my overlord w/ obsidian the other day, followed all the normal steps and  set up the launcher (v3.1.4). upon uploading new sound files to my board i began having problems. Currently, it sounds like the clash sound is looping on power-up, and there is no sound at all for the clash. I also can no longer upload sound files to my board.

has anyone had these problems?

thanks

Have you already tried to reset the board? Remove the batteries for some seconds, then delete all files from the board. Retry uploading the sound files.

If deleting itself doesn't solve the problem, then try to empty the sound banks, click "Write Sound Files" and disconnect the saber. This should completely wipe the soundboard. Then retry uploading your soundfont.

Sure ^^ When you open the launcher, then you have the folders of your PC on the left and the soundboard configuration window on the right. In the right window, just delete all fonts you will find in the various categories (Boot, Power Up etc.). Then click "Write Sound Files". This should remove all files and residual data from the board :)

just tried that, still the same glitch. Its definitely skipping (for lack of a better word) on the power up sound, and the clash sound is just not going off at all.

Okay, silly question, but you don't trigger FoC with the power button on your saber? xD If not, then there is a problem with the board. It was definitely a good idea to email US about that, they will surely find a solution :)
