So my Phantasm v3 has the Violet LEDs, the problem is, the 2 LEDs are noticeably different shades. One has more blue, the other is has more red. I am assuming the LED comprises 2 different color LEDs (blue and red) to make the pruple. I was wondering if there was a way to get the two LEDs to match better, or if I should just order new LEDs and hope for matching colors?

First, make sure you are using fresh batteries as that can make a difference. If that doesn't change it, get color filters from US or even LEE filters

Ben is right.  I will also add something that I found doing a forum search today.  Make sure you are using the same type of batteries.  Sometimes having different types of batteries can yield different results according to posts I read during my morning.

Yup, the difference is most noticeable when you vary it between regular alkaline and NiMH.  This is because the regular alkaline cells each provide 1.5V, while the NiMH ones give 1.2V each.  The lower supplied voltage gives you a redder color.

Thank you for the quick response. Filters are probably the way to go. I put fresh batteries in both sabers and the color variation was the same. Don't get me wrong this isn't me complaining. Just want my blades to look exactly the same. So glad I bought this saber staff.
