You could also use set screw to hold the LED Module in place, since their wont be any force from dueling it shouldnt strip out, but a threaded insert would work 2, i have actually used heat shrink around LED Module and pushed in place it held firmly, if u can find right size rubber plug u can drill out center run wires through it and use that as a stopper

Drill and tapping PVC is a bitch because it's too weak of a plastic that it will strip easily.

I would disagree with you, but that's because I drill and tap PVC daily lol.

What size PVC are you using? If you're using a really thin PVC that might be where your problem is.

I would have to agree with Ninja-jedi using a stopper or wedge would allow you to hold the led in place with out damage anything.  Though I myself might look into o-rings at the local hardware store.

I was anxious to spin it around so i electrical taped the base of the blade and it sticks in there pretty damn well. You have to twist it a few times to get it out. Temporary but it's a start.

Sadly, the bulb blew out. Probably voltage? The battery I ripped the board from took 3 AAA and I was using 4 AAA, would that do it?

If you're using anything more than 2 AA's then you need a resistor to keep your LED from frying.

Also, I am interested to know what type of PVC you're using if you can't thread or tap it.

Honestly it looks like sch40 emt, but I could be wrong.  Its actually not that hard to drill or tap, but it is prone to long cracks when you do apply to much preasure

I've had no problem with the PVC I use... I drill it with a drill press and tap it... I'm not gentle with the hilts I build at all... I have yet for a hilt to crack on me... and we sand out the back end for the battery packs, granted there's usually a pommel over that section but still.
