Let me get straight to the point, everyone wanted a cool
jedi name or sith, right? But that name would be empty
without a background story, so here's some guidelines
for character creation.
1. Name
Quite self explanatory, but no matter how fancy sounding your
name is, base it on which planet your jedi comes from.
Another would be joining the last three letters of your name
to the first two or three of your surname.
Lazy? Use this:
http://www.xach.com/misc/jedi.html My name is Onda Caval of planet Solmux.
2. Jedi or Sith
Now, you decide which side of the force you wish to serve.
I won't give any remarks, just join the jedi okay?
3. Blade Color
Believe me or not, the color dictates your character and emotion.
And most would never take this into consideration when creating
a character, don't do the same mistake.
4. Costume
Everyone wears the generic jedi robe or sith, but honestly,
get yourself something better than that. A good example would
be the Old Republic game where robes can come in many colors
and designs that would make the generic jedi stand behind.
Now, I'm not saying trash your old robes for new feathers,
just that its not taboo for a jedi to have his own uniform.
5. Motto
Want to be like the REAL one? Go read books, lots of them!
And create your own motto from scratch.
So others quote you instead and not you to them.
I don't have one so don't ask.
6. Fighting Style
Ah, this area now needs the help of someone who practices martial
arts. This forum has information regarding the seven forms of the
jedi path, you can go there and ask the masters which style works
for your ideal approach in an attack.
That wraps it up, from here, you can write a short story to back up your
costuming at the cons. And bewilder some costumers that are just
your run-of-the-mill ones.
