Thanks! I had a local artist make them for me... they're special chain maille pieces. I found them on etsy - look up "scale maille" or "scaille maille" depending on how people spell it! |

I love the coloring of the scales! Good call on commissioning those; I made a couple of faux maille pieces using those and decided that hand sewing the scales would be "easier" than learning to weave maille. Approx. 1,200 scales later, I was reconsidering that stance! If that shoulder piece attaches to a corset, I think I am going to be buying that same bit of costuming! I love the makeup and contacts, great job. I have no idea why I don't have any professional photos of any of my cosplays (and none at all with my saber as of yet), but this is one of my favorite performance shots from my Darth Vader act:  |
