You know, this has nothing to do with being "offended," but I guess it's kind of in the same vein? People who give backhanded compliments need to sit down. Someone said to a client of mine, "Wow, you're so pretty now that you've lost weight! You're too pretty to be fat!" Excuse you, she has always been pretty, you jerk-and-a-half. I wanted to say to him, "Hey, she may have been 'fat' to you before, but you're an idiot, and she can lose weight."  What I DID say to him isn't appropriate for this forum.  <snap> Go on, girl. Beauty is there regardless weight, color, age, ethnicity. Being single for most my life  , I have been blessed to see the beauty of women of every size, shape, color, age and personal preference. There is no mold. I've even seen women get better looking from picking up a little weight. |

Yes. I've not had the opportunity to try Camembert. Although, a nice slice of Muenster on a croisant with Black Forest ham and some Dijon mustard. It will, however, always make me think of the time I was with a friend of mine in New Orleans and some much, much older guy came onto her by saying, "Would you like to come back to my back my apartment for wine and a nice fresh baked brie with apricots?" I come in here looking for some good venting and what do I find? Cheese and wine. Apparently I have been transported to France. I am going to leave now and return to Oklahoma, where deep fried is king and festivals are held in honor of a certain part of the turkey's anatomy.
