Title: Classic Jedi Zren Tobas
Post by: Zren Tobas on May 26, 2018, 12:08:13 AM
So hey guys. Since some of you is starting your own threads on your own stuff figured I'd do the same. My more classic Jedi costume with my Overlord and new enhanced blue blade. Really gives a nice classic touch due to the glow I think. I'll be needing new boots soon too or since I'm doing my own thing now I'll just use my black boots I have that are in my size so. I know a lot of groups don't allow the brown belt on black boots combo but meh. Off topic a bit, as Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z Abridged would say: Renegade for life XD So this is my own personal costume thread. Will post my other main brown tunic set soon. Just wanted to have a classic moment first =]

Yup. Its my top favorite to wear next to my Sith costume =] Main tunics are Twin Roses, obi is from farfarawayoutfitters because they're the only ones who had matching fabric colors actually available so x.x Jedi Robe America robe dark brown capsules as well, oddtoddsleathers belt I think, apparently they used to do leather wraps for US's way back in the day too, from now on though going to be using my black Hero-100 boots since they're in the size I need anyway x.x Think I'm just gonna do stuff on my own now too aside from gatherings with the Jedi Council Of Ohio group

Your ensemble looks fantastic!  Very "classic" feel about your robes  :)

Looking forward to more pics as you take them!

Just wondering, what's the best gel insoles you've found that'll last awhile at least but wont take up too much room in your boots? Its just crummy funtasma boots so x.x But only a size 9, I'm not allowed to get anymore new pieces apparently so, not even new fitting boots that my back and feet desperately need x.x Like good insoles but that aren't too expensive but comfy at the same time

I don't even remember the name of the insoles I bought for mine, but if your boots fit right now anything you add will make them tight. I got mine to big on purpose because I knew I would need to add an insole.

I typically use these for cosplay boots and whatnot.

I've used these for my combat and hiking boots

Not really trusting either of those x.x I'm gonna try other insoles when I can though. I mostly use Scholl's insoles so. Its the usual funtasma costume boots so nothing too fancy or comfy much. I think I got it figured out for now though. I did get my single layer dark brown belt out of storage though so might do some more pictures later on in the week

I've got some Dr Scholl's in my Funtasma boots, but mostly because they're a size 11, and my feet are only 10 1/2

I'll be making a scarf style tabbard this weekend, should a single layer of fabric be fine? I know most companies likes to use at least 3 layers or so of fabric. I only have one layer on hand though x.x Its black cotton kona fabric though so. Who has used a single layer of fabric before with no problems for small pieces like tabbards and obis? Will post results once its done =]

What are some fallen Jedi costume color ideas I can try? I was thinking my black set and maybe the brown inner tunic? Can't really find any good pictures for ideas x.x

Who has used medieval garb for costumes before? Ordered a new long sleeve tunic for the colder weather but I also feel could make for a great Sith piece as well since my medieval tabbards are black anyway =] Its more real clothing too over costume pieces. Also expect its for my bday since I was allowed to do that at least so :P
