Nah, you’re good. It’s the same developer, so there’s really no reason why they shouldn’t both be available. They may have already incorporated TSLRCM (the restored content mod) in the Mac version, judging from the ratings. Game is pretty broken without it. There’s some parts (like the disciples holocrons side quest for female characters) that still haven’t been restored over 10 years later. Sadly, that part might never be fully restored, so disciple will always remain lamest companion who had potential to be interesting but wasn’t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No, but it costs more Force energy to use dark side powers if you are more aligned with the light. If you’re trying to get dark side points fast, the easiest way is to kill a bunch of Gizka without poison |

If you have Force persuasion powers and you want Dark Side points, you can do some really messed up stuff on Tatooine. You can get massive DS points messing with people in the hunting lodge and cantina. The first time I played, I was so Dark Side. I found out I could do these things and relished in it. (ah, my Dark Side younger days  ) |

One great thing about this game and the sequel is that you can use whatever powers you want, unlike SWTOR. For the longest time, I'd always used Force Lightning (I think the highest level is an actual lightning storm) even for my Light Side characters. Yes, there's a penalty, but I didn't care. I've also used healing powers a lot as a Dark Side character.

Jedi do get their own “lightning” and Sith their own “heal” but they’re a bit different. What ScifiDude says is true though. Powers themselves are not inherently light or good and can be used by either side (albeit with the aforementioned penalty)

On some planets, you can persuade them to wave the fee. On some, you need the powers of Force persuasion (be prepared for lectures from certain party members) but on others you can use other means.

Persuade is a useful skill. I haven’t paid a docking fee yet, and have only used minimal bribes on murder witnesses on Manaan |
