I think the trick with that would be a secure way to lock it from folding up on you. plus it is a double joint. maybe some kind of pin?

I was about to suggest a liner lock ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liner_lock), but that would probably not be strong enough for this mechanism. A Pin might work, the uestion would then be does it lock it in eother position or only when the staff is unfolded? |

I was about to suggest a liner lock ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liner_lock), but that would probably not be strong enough for this mechanism. A Pin might work, the uestion would then be does it lock it in eother position or only when the staff is unfolded? strength would be key on that, it's designed to fold so it will try to, and if you're dueling with this you really don't want it to fold during a heavy strike. could also pull a ridged area in the joint and mild thumb screw in the middle so lockable in any position. |

Lord Rapine I loved it too, the original one doesn't come apart (I think) And... Well my tastes aren't as bad as I thought  as soon as I get the Chosen One, maybe my second lightsaber will be a Dorinian (unless that Deep releases a cooler lightsaber ) Sani2341 and bigBear I was searching for a "Folding Locking Hinge For Sofa" (I have a couple in my bed (I'm 6ft 2in tall, and my bed is only 5ft 1in long, so I had to add an extension, and that kind of hinges are pretty strong)) or a hinge like the ones used by those scaffold ladders They seem to be a pretty good option, but they need to be rescaled to fit with a lightsaber pommel That would be another suggestion, a folding pike extension And... from the same guy, what about an Inquisitor lightsaber? I agree with the folding lightsaber idea. just look at Pong Krell from TCW, those sabers looked awesome.
If those were released I would be one of the first ones to buy them.

Oh yes, don't worry In a previous post about the lightsaber pike, I put that it was a 3D model The Inquisitor lightsaber is from the same guy's page But, you know, maybe somebody here could make them real  |

I'm thinking there should be a Kyle Katarn-inspired lightsaber. He's one of the most badass Jedi ever, so it's only fitting that we have something to remember him by. His lightsaber from Jedi Outcast would be nice.
