Title: Renegade Vs Flamberge
Post by: Darth Cephalus on July 28, 2017, 02:16:33 AM
I promised this one in my review of the Renegade, so here it is. This is a side by side of the two crosguard models from Ultrasabers: The Renegade and the Flamberge. The one in the video is a Flamberge V2. I look at size, edges, design, and basic usability.

A very useful comparison here.
Thanks for sharing your notes.

What if you put the Renegade emitters on the Flamberge?

You end up with a Flambergade.

I was more wondering because the negatives on the Flamberge mostly revolved around the emitters:
  • The side emitters are too shallow and the blade easily falls out.
  • The top emitter has problems with the set screws and being fully secured.

Since most of the negatives listed for the renegade involve the sharp edges and the claw requirements, I thought if you took the emitters off of that one and put them onto the Flamberge, you would get rid of the emitter problem on the Flamberge without giving it the sharp edge problem on the claws of the Renegade.
