Thank you for the welcome. Hopefully I'll be able to get involved as soon as I purchase my saber. I'm working to buy an Initiate V3 with Sound that I will eventually add some asthetic modifications to over time. Also, I need to throw together a decent Sith outfit at some point. I noticed that there are a couple of other people in my state as well, so perhaps I will run into them sometime.

Hey now, I'll have you know, I make some pretty good cookies. Chocolate Chip to be precise. And Snickerdoodle. Sure they were radiating with the power of the Dark Side and wreaked with the stench of Sith Victory, but hey....those were some damn good cookies.

Shame they are not involved with the forum...the best forum with the most organized saber group would seem to be a great fit!

 

Well, a lot of it comes from the whole choreo/combat thing. They focus a lot more on choreo. To be honest, so do I. I'm more around for instruction and comaraderie. And also intelligent conversation, it gets a bit too snarky here

Oh yes I could see that. I was stationed and went to school on Governor's Island for a number of months at a time over 15yrs...snarky is about the correct word I would use for a general stereotypical NewYork attitude

Though by no means do I think that applies to all NewYorkers.

Don't think I'm in any way insulted by being called snarky. I say six snarky things in the morning. Keeps my teeth white.

I just sometimes like to have a conversation with someone not thinking of an automatic comeback :p

I actually had really good luck while in New York with people...not the mundane masses of those running from place to place, but the specific...a few martial artists, a few chefs, and a few fellow comicbook fans 

And believe me, there are snarky people everywhere...but there more more per capita in New York
