Sounds like some nice sabers you have there, looking forward to seeing that Scorpion in AB especially. Sadly grab bag sabers do not generally come with sound, but sound can be added later to most models.
Prowl's right otherwise - you have a fairly slight chance of getting sound in your grab bag 'sabre. As for what use it is, the batteries will last longer on a stunt 'sabre, and they won't annoy your housemates if you swing 'em around late at night
You also have the option of customising your grab bag to personalise it. Not something you might do to a pricey sound-equipped 'sabre, perhaps, but you can do a lot with your freebie if you don't like the initial form of it. Adding lights, a wrap, playing with the emitter/pommel/finish... Or even, as you say, getting in and playing with the with the electronics and seeing what you can come up with.
