Its an odd thing (especially for me) to go back and watch something you liked when you were younger and realize...now as an adult you just don't like it. Luckily there is only 2 shows this has happened to me with.

It did happen to me. Well not to the point I didn't like it anymore. But just like... Realize there were huge imperfections my child brain would dismiss and my adult brain could not.
For me it was first Seinfeld. For reference I was 5 when it first aired so I watched that show for most of my formative years. I watched it a few years ago excited to relive nostalgia and while Kramer and Newman still solicit a chuckle....on the whole I couldn't stand it. These were just absolute horrible people and I did not want to watch them. I know that was really the point as that is Larry David's schtick but having become an adult and actually dealt with people like that...just couldn't watch it anymore. Now...its scrubs. I still enjoy it more than I don't but I find myself more annoyed than I used to be. Luckily its just those 2....for now. |

Transformers....at least as far as the G1 show went. I will always love the concept and characters, but the G1 show was garbage. I won't say that's no part of it...but not to sound arrogant I am rarely surprised by plots. In terms of Seinfeld it was more I didn't like their personalities anymore and similar with scrubs |
