Title: Best Saber for Diamond
Post by: Jedihunter214 on April 19, 2020, 04:56:55 AM

Hello Everyone,

I know when it comes to picking it is one's own choice, but I would like to have some guidance on choosing this next saber. I have been trying to figure out what would be a great saber to get with Diamond, this will be a very big purchase for me. So please any and all help will be grateful.

This saber will not be for Dueling, but mainly for display and solo performances, I have looked over all of the sabers and looked at all of the videos for the diamond driver. But I am having the hardest time deciding what would be a great combination of saber and diamond.

Thanks everyone.

If i were to get diamond i would get it for the renegade or the fallen. But those are my preferences  :)
Oh maybe for the empress, that thing is really cool too.

The best is like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. You'll have ten members all with different opinions, my tip to you is look at what talks to you through the Force. The Fallen is one of the newest sabers and highly coveted while others will stand by the Graflex, Grand Master, or Emperor's Hand. My favorite is the Consular but I'm a huge Qui Gon fan next to StarKiller so it's up to you and your needs.  Then there are the V4 and V5 original designed sabers. These are highly comfortable to wield and are loved by the community for good reason.  I'm missing quite a few sabers in my mentions but they're just examples

I understand the hesitation when deciding on a Diamond saber. It's quite the commitment. I personally have a few viewpoints for you to consider.
First, like the others have mentioned, it comes down to what you personally like.
Second, if you have wielded an Ultrasaber before, you probably have some idea of what will be more comfortable for you to hold. Definitely keep that in mind. (For me, the sleek design of the Aeon line feels great. Whereas my Grandmaster can get annoying with all the etching.)
Third, (and this could just be me) I love changing things constantly. I picked out a saber with an MHS pommel and emitter. So i always had my diamond, but I could keep customizing it. Changing things out based on what i wanted that day. There are quite a few with both parts MHS. I'd look at those. Find the base hilt (no pommel/emitter) you like the best.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Which five sabers would you absolutely love to have? Of those, which are your top 3? Now which one would you love to see in multiple blade colors? There you go.

excellent guidance, Infinit01 !  In my case, the ones that are the most fun to wield are not as often the ones that look cool on a shelf or a display.  I think in my case that those that are taken out and worked with the most are the ones that hopefully have the most "bells and whistles" . I have a Dominix V4 with the Diamond and its also (thankfully how that worked out) the one that feels the best in my hands.  Hopefully, the Force will guide you when you combine the hilt you end up liking best overall, with the best controller -- the Diamond.

Malik,

My three top favorites are the Manticore, The Grandmaster, and the Dominicide. These are the three that caught my eye the most, but the one of the three I would love to see as the a Diamond would be The Grandmaster because I love the etching that is done on the blue one. I would love to have two of them as a diamond and use with a quick release to pose and perform with both as a duel saber and a staff.

Thank

Thank you, Darth Andeddu! Exactly! Fun to wield and those that look cool can be the same or may differ depending on who you are and what you like/dislike.  The Dominix V4 with the Diamond is fantastic, I bet you love changing colors and setting them.

There you go, I say choose from those three and see which one you prefer with being able to change not only the color of the blade but the sound of the blade, that will be the one that you should choose as your first diamond saber.

Ohhhh yes I do indeed!  It's like the Emerald (I would imagine), combined with what would be like the Obsidian V4 on steroids  :)  I wish I could swing getting the Diamond in EVERYthing !

Jedihunter, seems to me like you just answered your own question. I have the Grand Master LE. It is fantastic. Easy to spin, duel with, or just look good hanging on my side. Choose your favorite color option and there you have it. Hope this was useful. Let us know what you choose (think we already know), and be sure to take pictures when it arrives.

The thing about the Diamond is that you can preset colors and change them in real time where the Emerald requires shutting the saber down (I may be wrong). The Diamond also has the Obsidian sound card built in.

I’ll find out about the Emerald driver soon I hope. I found a “used” Archon 3.1 online and bought it :)  my first Emerald :)

Congrats on the Emerald saber. Should be fun. Just remember, the diamond saber allows you to change colors with the push of a button. With emerald, you can change colors anytime, but you have to hook the saber up to your computer to do so.  Anyway, have fun with your sabers.

Thank you, Malik !  I am new to the whole Emerald controller and how it differs from the Diamond, so I'm anxious to explore what makes it.. unique !

Infinit01,

Where I am part of a saber group, I am working on a the title called master of exotics. We have four classes the that has exotic weapons. The Jedi Sentinel has the Saber Pike, the Sith Assassin has the Saber Tonfas, the Jedi Guardian and Sith Warrior is able to us the Saber Staff and Jarkai Duel Sabers. I have mastered all but the Tonfas that is next class I will be going for is the assassin and once I master all. I feel The Grand Master will be a beautiful trophy.

That's wicked, Jedihunter! I've been wanting to grab a pair of tonfas myself.  I think they're great

I can not wait for my two orders to come in and to see if I am a winner for the raffle. My friend got a pair of tonfas but got with a 24" blade so mine will be have the 16" blades. With that longer blade it made them heavier then they look.
