How about bring Jane back?
If they do it will have to be a recast and since they didn't recast her and just had them "break up" pretty sure Jane is no longer going to show up |

Why did Portman leave to begin with?
She no longer wanted to be in these movies. Same as Hugo Weaving as Red Skull. Even though he signed s contract for multiple films and Disney could have forced him to appear in Infinity War if they wanted to, Disney & Kevin Feige have stated they only want actors who want to be there. If someone is unhappy they won't force them to appear. Plus, I think Portman is content to appear in more indie movies than box office blockbusters. |

Agreed with all of this and it sucks that Hugo didn't want to return as the Red Skull but Ross Marquand did a hell of a job while sounding and looking just like Hugo did as the Red Skull. |

That was a great reveal in Infinity War. I fully geeked out, after gasping aloud. I think it's great that Disney don't force actors to fulfil their contract if the actor doesn't want to return. In the long run, why potentially foster ill-will or damage the brand? In the case of Red Skull, with all that make-up/prosthetic work, no-one could tell it was a different actor.

I loved the Red Skull's appearance in Infinity War. My wife and I had to check the credits to be sure it wasn't Hugo Weaving. Second viewing it was more obvious, but in that first viewing, in the moment, the portrayal was so spot-on to Captain America - The First Avenger that it wasn't obvious. Plus we were focused on Thanos and what he was about to do...

Like Knox said, she no longer wanted to be in the MCU, from the scuttlebutt it was because she lobbied for a director friend of hers to be given Dark World but she and the Studio had creative differences so she left the project....Portman didn't take it well apparently. |

I didn't love nor hate her character. I thought her chemistry with Hemsworth was okay, but not outstanding. I wouldn't be opposed to her coming back, as long as it made sense for the story. But if she didn't I wouldn't miss her too much.
