Hey everyone,

I am in my final year of university writing my dissertation but i'm finding myself doing everything but writing.
To continue avoiding any form of academic studies i have exhausted other options such as exercise, going out,
youtube, compulsive purchases etc. But now I need an online game. I have SWTOR but for some reason my pretty
decent laptop doesn't like it at all but if anyone knew of any free online games I can just casually play of a similar style
to SWTOR (for free as i am a student and i live off tinned foods most of the year.)

Any replies would be very helpful and would stop me from continuing my studies.

the best online game i have ever played is battlefield 3,very cheap ,as close as it gets to real war,well until bf4 Tongue

If you can get past the language barrier, Phantasy Star Online 2 looks good yet runs well on older laptops.  The downside is that it's in Japanese, and the English release keeps getting pushed back.  But it's free and a good procrastination tool.

Not to be negative or the devils-advocate, but I really think you should get back to your dissertation.  Undecided

On a different note, Minecraft is a HUGE time waster.
You could try purchasing a copy of Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy.  I'm fairly certain people still play that.  You may even be able to role-play if you're into that stuff.

I heard Planetside 2 is really fun.  It's like Battlefield 2142 only... better.

I'm playing Project Zomboid right now.  It's still pre-alpha, but it plays a lot like Minecraft in style and regular updates.  It's pretty fun surviving in an isometric zombie environment even though the only goal is to survive for as long as possible.
