Not sure if anyone else is a fan of this company, but they recently put up a video of them making customized sabers, and I saw the base hilts were US! Just though I'd share the video, they had some good ideas that others might draw inspiration from!

Very nice! I love the way they take the Aeon V3s and turn them into something really special. Also the "Master/Apprentice" vibe is so... appropriate. LOL
I'm not sure I'd call an Aeon V3 an "off the shelf" saber though. Just sayin'....
