I got my email.  I can start play SWTOR when I get home TODAY.  Anybody else get theirs?

nope im a sad panda. I had my code in the first day of pre orders.

I'm starting to think that I got my email today because I ordered the Collectors Edition.  Nero ordered no more than a day or two after me and he hasn't been emailed either.

Im also a collectors edition. bought mine at 9 in the morning day of pre order announcement. wasn't able to put the code in until around 6 pm though

I also got the collectors edition! Pre ordered it like 4 months ago and haven't got my email yet either. Though my Guild leader did and my Sith Guild will be on server Shadow Hand.

Im in! already got 7 toons made to reserve all the names I wanted, and i got them all :D

I'm in!! Got my email today!! I'll be creating my Sith Toons for my Guild from WoW and I'll make some Jedi toons on the server for the forum guild!!!!!!

I've gotten an email about downloading the client, and I think I can play now but it was sort of unspecific.  I did find out after doing a search through my hotmail (read: spammail) account that I actually had a freaking beta invite and missed the email....that's a DOH!

Got my email and played with Artorius... it was freaking awesome!  Worked perfectly on my new laptop.  My Knight is now level 9 and has a lovely new yellow lightsaber :)

Game = Amazing.  That is all.

The game is great, the only problem I'm having is choppiness in a heavy populated area like the Jedi Temple or Sith Temple. It's still playable so long as I adjust my graphics but still choppy. The outdoor areas play with little to no lag. I haven't tried a Flash Point yet, that will be tonight! I got my Sith Warrior (on Shadow Hand) to L8 and my Jedi Knight ( on Belgoth's beacon) to L3

No really.  I considered canceling work today so I could stay home and play . . . I might do it tomorrow instead . . . Did I mention that I'm a game addict?

I came home early, took off tomorrow as well, thus starts my weekend tor extravaganza! this game is blowing my socks off. On kaas right now doing the revanite quests, a bit giddy right now at their awesomeness.

inquisitor is going slower as im only lvling him with a friend.

Got my Consuler to L11 but still don't have a lightsaber yet, still using the vibroblade.  My companion (trandoshan) got captured and I went out looking for him in a cave.  I still need to kill off the last bad guy twi-lik but each time I go for him, and the other two twi-lik henchmen I keep seeing a "not ready" as I die and end up going back to the closest medical station.  Is anyone else doing a consular...any advice?

I stood in front of you and waved and such outside the jedi temple thing but you were afk.  (assuming that was you and not some other qui-tom on our server lol) I noticed that it didn't have you on the guild roster though, should have automatically invited you I thought if you were part of the pre-order guild registration.  Anyway, hit me up in game, character name is "Solitude".

Whoa jeez Swam, you don't mess around!  I've mostly been playing my Knight, and he's only like level 14 or so... I haven't gotten super far in the main plot either since I try to do basically EVERY side quest.


Haven't gotten that far with my Consular, so no tips here.  I'll definitely have to crank out some levels today or something.  TBH for the Knight I had quite a bit of trouble with the Forge Guardian (you fight him after you construct your lightsaber).  Maybe that was just me though.

Conclusion:  this game is too much fun.

grrrr. Bought ce day one and now im miffed because I hit 25 and dont have my free ce speeder and other lvling goodies. I have to wait till gamestop gets them in so i can go pick it up, im guessing on the 20th.

Most Gamestops will have a midnight launch if you're able to go then.

I'll have my CE by the end of the day if UPS deliver's it :-X

I did this on the beta at L9,I ran in and Force Waved then Force held the main Twi-lik and killed the henchmen first . It worked well, hopefully this helps! You can also Force Stun the other hinchman. Make sure to keep your training up!

bah just talked to game stop and they are not doing a midnight launch, nor will they give me my ce code early because it still has a "street date" of the 20th. despite people already hinging their codes and such. so much bs. wish I had my ce swag while lvling.

I finally got his two hench men killed, then he killed me, then back to med station then finally managed to kill him...ya.   I'm slow but still learning as I go thanks for the suggestion!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm rather glad I didn't go with the CE.  I saved a nice chunk of money considering I wasn't really interested in all that in-game stuff or collectibles.  I just want the chance to wail on some bad guys with a lightsaber...

Oh, maybe I forgot to mention this, but I found a green crystal at last!  It's a simple thing, but it makes me happy...

you know if you learn artificing you can MAKE green crystals, right?

You will still want the security key bud, I'm sure you can purchase one separately. I had a lot of friends with accounts in WoW get stollen , and mine never did thanks to the security key. I HIGHLY recommend these. That will also gain you a bonus vender!

If anybody is looking for me I'm on Couruscant as a Jedi Consular Sage (L12).

Yeah I'm just starting to scratch the surface of crew skills.  I admit I'm something of a meathead in this game - I just find enemies and cut them down, rinse and repeat.  Thanks for the heads up though, I'll give it a try.

I'm kinda hesitant about putting in a number that is coming from the security code key (fob).  Playing with it a little, it seems when I push the button a number will come up.  A little later, about 15 seconds, and the number changes to something different?  Is this normal, seems to me the security code would always be the same number.

yeah qui tom thats the point of the key. it has a specific code sequence that generates a number that will match your specific data base every few seconds. it makes it so its almost impossible for anyone to hack your account as the code is always changing. basically all you have to do is when you log on, hit the button type in the code and your golden. every time you log on the code will be different.

I assume it's the same as it was in WoW.  The number that comes up changes every 30 seconds so it's nearly impossible to hack your account.  If you DON'T have an authenticator sometimes hackers will add one to your account so that they can steal your stuff and you're not able to get on at all.  So yeah, I highly suggest keeping one tied to your account:)

YES! Got in today and played for about 5 hours straight! L8 Sith Inquisitor!  Probably going to get addicted to this game its SO GOOD! Plus if anyone is having lag problems, try turning off the shader.

I hit L11 on my Sentinel, got Crew skills Archeology and Artifice , got my droid to L20 for those skills  and he can now make the Sentinel's Yellow DPS (crit) crystals. Now he just needs to bring me the crystals to make them!Currently my Jedi is rockin a ce crystal in the main hand saber and a red crystal in the off hand saber!(I can't make it match because I don't have my ce bender yet:( )

Got up to L18 today, still got a few quests to do that are considered Heroic but think they will have to wait awhile cause the droids are twice iif not three times more powerfull than me.  I do have one quest that is about scanning for something at the old jedi temple and I'm wondering is that the same temple where you make the sabers back on Tython?

Still no med or heavy armor, guess that is much later in the game.

If we weren't on different servers Artorius and I would team up with you!  About the old Jedi temple, they're probably referring to the destroyed Jedi Temple on Coruscant (providing you're doing the Coruscant quests right now).

I can give you a hand with the heroic quests if you'd like. Just let me know if/when you want to do them. Also, IIRC, you're a Consular, which is restricted to light armor. Only the Knight classes get medium/heavy armor (for Jedi classes).

And here I have been saving up for the Med and Heavy armor, atleast I don't have to buy or make those.

@ Nero:  Hopefully you two guys can get a couple of more people to start your own guild, but if not I'm sure we can use you two.   I figure with the few that we've got we're gonna get stomped big time if we ever meet up with the Absolute reign (ha)

@ ewanhuzarmie:  I"ll do the temple and the other quest tomorrow.  I don't work and can be available almost anytime.  Why don't You pick a day and time that is convenient for you and we can get together.  The only plans I have now is to visit the grand kids for Christmas and won't be available on the 23 thru 25th).

I think I should have gotten a new laptop instead of a desktop...I'll probably be itching to get back early to play :D

Yeah, we have two good friends in mind.  One actually has quite a bit of MMO experience, so that's great.  Hopefully that will work out... if not, maybe we'll ask around here if anybody wants to join up with us ;)  We really do have a great time adventuring together, his Sentinel and my Guardian make an awesome team.  If we got some support or ranged roles filled we would really be unstoppable!

Just tried logging on and there is a 20 minute wait time.  I hope this is just a fluke because of the newness of the game

They're working to minimize the queues, but it may take a bit.

@Qui-Tom - I'll be on today at ~7PM CST (maybe before, but I can't guarantee it). We can get together then to do those heroic quests.

Yea I just went to jump on for a quick session and I was #327 in the queue, 25 min wait time.

They better fix that fast.

official launch day and only a 25 min wait timer? that's pretty good by mmo standards. however that timer will go down very quickly.
