That's because you didn't live around nor grew up around snow. When you have to shovel it or walk through a blizzard to get to school, it's a different story
I live in Texas myself and spent time both in the desert and in the northern states where it snows quite a bit and I'll still take the cold over the heat any day but I wear shorts 55 degrees and higher so the the word cold is different for me I'll take that any day over Texas weather
