Truly, she will be strong- A luminous being is she

I just had to share this, it's a seriously cool video. The final launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis. (Video owner prevents external embedding. I guess NASA doesn't like to share. Cheesy)

Yes, a sad ending to a good program (space the final frontier).   had to delete a comment that you never seen (politics and all)

I felt like crying when I found out there won't be any more missions. Just one of many wonderful programs around the world and throughout time, to get cut due to lack of funding. Cry

Yes very saddening, I was always interested in the program.  I remember siting on the couch watching the Apollo 11 mission; writing down everything they said and the time they did it.  Maybe one day we'll be able to go back to the program.

I was always interested in the program as well. I remember one time, when I was little, I got mad at my parents cause they forgot to wake me up early to see the launch! Cheesy

The space shuttle will be sorely missed, I remember it as an iconic fixture of my childhood, its sad to see it go (kind of like the last Harry Potter movie coming out next week). Though this did frighten me a bit when I read it http://kotaku.com/5819366/the-xbox-360-is-more-powerful-than-the-space-shuttles-flight-computer-and-other-facts .

Well that's interesting. And here I thought they had ultra high powered computers. Well, if it works I guess....

While I understand the idea that "if it ain't broke don't fix it", I think this lack of evolution and advancements are the exact reasons which NASA keeps getting its budget cut and is slowly shutting down bit by bit, and its just really sad considering how much more we can learn from and about the astral bodies that we simply can't form down here.

Oh well, long as the Superbowl keeps showing every year I guess the US feels ok.

PS: No offense meant against football fans.
