LED Stays on when powered

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum so apologies in advance but im not sure what else to do haha.

I've recently gotten the Azure Fallen saber that was a single LED without the soundboard or anything which worked fine, but i wanted to upgrade it since it was a gift for someone.

I then got the obsidian V4 soundboard with the momentary switch to use and started wiring everything up on the breadboard but it seems that the LED color stays on when the battery is in the soundboard. The LED is pretty basic with two pos leads and two ned leads, one goes to the main LED and i believe the other goes to the flashing effect. The "battery +" end of the board is connected to the power of both red LED leads and each ground is connected to the blade and flash LED respectively. Is there something that i am missing or a firmware update that might fix this? any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance!
