I have always liked that model of saber.

That one is perfect in every detail and option, and it's exactly how I would configure mine.

The black body with all the machined grooves really does give an other wise plain hilt a whole new personality.

Nice one for sure =] I just wanted the silver hilt for mine and in Consular Green as well but with the Manticore high pommel. Though I have a Liberator/Standard Issue V3 pommel I'm gonna sand back to silver so =] Also got mine with a covertech wheel same location actually, no sound though. My Dark Sentinel LE is also one of my other beater type sabers same with my Dominix V3 LE in Blazing Red :P

Thanks all, having  different MHS pommel definitely adds to the look of the saber. The War Glaive MHS pommel matched it well. You just can't go wrong with the Dark Standard Issue Battle Saber: it is a one cylinder piece and that's it. Fit for hard dueling/practice.

I would totally clash blades with you with our Standard Issues. Consular Green and Sun Rider's Destiny would look sweet clashing against each other I think :P

Thanks! Those vertcal grooves look nice but are very functional as grips to help with handling too. The War Glaive MHS pommel gives it a little more weight at the end of the saber and helps with balance.

After reading the title I thought I was going to see an old beat up, scuffed up hilt. But instead you show off a beautiful saber. Great job.

You and I both, I at least thought it was going to be weathered or beat up too but I see this nice and and elegant saber.

... lol it's a very decent and functional saber to have. Proves that you don't need to spend a lot of money to have a good saber for dueling.

That's a good point, I never thought about modifying it. Any ideas? Maybe weather it or add a leather wrap.

Weathered, beat up, old looking cloth wrap actually would look nice =] Like take the cloth and purposefully dirty it up like what they did with Ben Kenobi's costume basically. Do the wrap in between the switch and covertech wheel but leave enough open space to still see the grooves

@Malik, you get a recommendation from me so. Makes a really great dueling saber especially if you do happen to have the stock V3 pommel on you which I do as well so =] Just black and weathered a bit so I'm looking to sand the whole pommel at some point to be all silver

I just got a stunt one in artic blue with the regular guarded switch.  However I did have some left over parts I wasn't using so I added a reaper pommel with crystal and covertech wheel and then a thumbscrew for blade retention.  Here it is:

It's amazing how minor changes can give it a different personality.  +1 for the creativity and making it yours, Edon.

I love it, Darth Sidious, thanks for sharing. The Dark Standard issue is a fantastic looking saber, one I've had my eye for a long time, in fact I just got mine in the mail today. Some assembly required with mine, though. ;)

Wow! I never thought of having a Reaper's MHS pommel with it. That looks REALLY nice matching the slanted emitter! Point!
