(im)Patiently waiting for my new ______

SHORT VERSION:

Manticore, Diamond ordered to arrive consular green, silver pulse w/ orange flash on clash. I liked the emitter and it looked fit to duel.
Guardian, Obsidian Lite Sound arriving guardian blue with arctic blue flash on clash. It looks very impressive and I'm dressing as Obi-Wan for Halloween in the short term, cons in the long term.
Buying two qualified me for a mystery box. Wanting to have two for dueling, i was persuaded to get the Guardian with the bet that the mystery box with include a saber that is much for fit for dueling than the big G.

LONG VERSION:

So i ordered two days ago and i got my shipping email yesterday. I chose the free standard shipping and according to the tracking info i can expect my sabers on Thursday, four days from now.
Saber Choices:
Why the Manticore,
At the first thought of ordering one, i was thinking that i wanted a saber that looked really cool and intricate with a hi-tech appearance. (And honestly thinking that it had to pass the cannot look like a "jazzed up flashlight" test). But then i got to thinking that if i actually lived in that World, with my current ethic, my saber would be simple and practical with solid quality and extreme efficiency. In that world, my saber wouldn't be something that i sat around and looked at for its beauty, but instead it would serve as an extension of my being, an instrument upon which my life could depend not to mention the balance of the Force.
With that in, i figured it had to be nice and simultaneously simple/practical. The emitter on the Manticore caught my attention and with the combination of that with an otherwise simple design it spoke to me. I decided to order a different pommel (Malice Round Pommel) for what i suspect might complete it a bit better for my taste.

Why the Guardian, (other than obviously passing the flashlight test)
The backstory of why i chose Obi-Wan's saber would be even longer than my first explanation so to save you from reading a book about it I'll hit the highlights. I knew i wanted a real deal Jedi costume for the overall purpose of cons and cosplay with a short term eye on Halloween. I also knew that would involve me carrying a saber on the belt of the costume which should either match or be custom in my mind.

At first i was leaning toward Anikan's Clone Wars robes, but i didn't want his saber. Metaphorically I'm more like Obi than Ani and i like the look his saber much more. from the YouTube videos people say its more impressive in lights and metal than on the screen so i look forward to it.
What am i doing in the meantime.....reading the forum posts and watching youtube videos trying to figure out which set of saber routines I'm going to practice first. Thanks for reading.
