40" blades too! Wow! That foolish Jedi won't be me! Practical or not, that's going to be original. On top of that, you'll have two 40" bladed Malices if you split them! It's not for me, but I would love to see that thing built!

i would love to see it as well its going to be 8ft tall though no spins for you but i bet you could use it as a damn good short spear for fighting with.

i think 2 malices with normal claws would look amazing but it would be 2 big 2 duel with especially since 4 the malice u should get 36 or 40 in blades. i would do a shorter hilt like the shock or manticore

You could go with the flush coupler. Then I don't think it'd be such a problem and the short claws too.
