But he ordered an Apprentice v4 and I ordered a Dominix LE v4 so maybe the apprentices are sitting there in stock or something.

you will most likely get a delivered notice but nothing else, I really dont know. I chose fedex because they give me more tracking information.

Yeah, of ALL of the mail and courier services, none delivers better and more up to date tracking than FedEx.  I will definitely go that route when it comes time for me.  Also, a hint: while damage is NOT impossible either way, Express may reduce the probability of damage at least a little.

makes sense, express is a more direct route so it should cross less hands. UPS is just as good for tracking updates, but if provided the option i wont select USPS.

It just means that your saber has been built and you can't modify any thing else in your order.  It is probably either waiting to be picked up for shipping or has shipped and the system hasn't been updated.  Was a tracking number attached to your account yet?

I know that it means I can't modify my order, but it's been "processing" and "ready to ship" since January 2nd, thus making me a bit uneasy. Many reports of Guardian sabers or other sabers that were purchased around the same date, that not only have been already shipped, but received as well.

I just wanted to know how long does an order in "ready to ship" status gets shipped, when nothing is backordered.

I'm very patient, that's not the problem, but I just want to that everything is ok and that there's no problems.

Edit: Order was placed on December 31st. and been "Processing" since, but got the "ready to ship" status update on January 2nd. Saber is a Guardian with Obsidian soundboard, no flash on clash, guardian blue LED, 36 inch blade Ultra edge heavy grade without any illuminated switches. I chose USPS since I always had great service with them, while FedEx has been terrible over here. (Quebec, Canada)

here is my time line.  12/30/15 order placed
1-11-16 shipping notification stating information received by fedex.
1-12-16 picked up by fedex
12-13 to 12-14-16 traveled to AL and is currently in PA. 

Mine was listed as ready to ship for a day or two and the official answer is that all parts requested have been accounted for, and they are making it.

So from this i gather that when you receive your ready to ship status on the site its telling us  that you are somewhere between fabrication of the hilt, and it being put together. Once that is done its packaged and shipping information is forwarded to the shipper.
