Yeah I figured as much. lol.

Although I must say AOTC wasn't ALL bad. The chase scene was pretty sweet, as was the Gladiator scene/Battle of Geonosis. It was everything IN BETWEEN, that was bad.

Oh, and Obi-Wan vs Jango was kinda cool too.

QFT, fo sho. I have been known to occasionally pop in AOTC just to watch the Arena scene, and/or the Obi-Fett fight.

i agree. i f the acting wasnt bad the movie couldve been so much better. they had great fight/chase scenes as you mentioned, and i think they could have made the duel with dooku a little better

In fact, they may have had a hard time making it any worse.

They probably could have if Christopher Lee would have been younger...He was 83 that year.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, the dueling scenes were coreographed with the precise elegance and underspoken grace of the lilting dance of the finest Minuet artistes of Vienna!

Yeah the guy was pretty old.  Then again, his overall acting in that movie was pretty abysmal... but sometimes I can't tell if it's the actor or the movie writing/directing...

I'm not hating on Christopher Lee either, I love him in everything else he does.  He was perfect as Saruman, and hilarious as Willy Wonka's dentist dad in the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  TBH I haven't seen any of his older movies, although I plan to in the future.

Even in his day Christopher Lee was never confused with a great actor (I thought he and Viggo were certainly the low points in the Rings trilogy). You can look it up if you like, but, he has always been, willingly and knowingly, a sort of a 'joke' actor in joke movies. His character's name is f'ing Count Dooku for God's sake: That's not an accident. Why you'd want to ridicule your own movie before it's even been released is beyond me, but, so are a lot of Lucas' decisions.

A number of actors from his day have been given the shot at a sunset career and I think that's great. However, the sterile setting, flat directing, clumsy dialog and poor production of the second Star Wars trilogy was able to craft wooden, blank performances from some otherwise amazing actors. If the whole cast is no better than Christopher Lee, then you know something else is at work.

Regardless, Christopher Lee is not to blame for the bland lifeless fight scene choreography in Attack of the Clones: He's not even in them. Unless he had something to do with their regression to BPLP and the decision to film them in the dark and from the hip like a light show filmed by midgets, he's off the hook for them as well.
