Korriban Armory Chief, Sith Mage, Hybrid Sith...

« Reply #15 on: March 22, 2021, 11:05:05 PM »

Thanks! I have no idea how to code that.

Side note; Pretty much all of Celldweller is excellent. If you like that try listening to-
Tragedy
Good L_ck Yo_'re F_cked
and my personal favourite, Jericho.

And yeah it's relatively simple (generally), although even for me on occasion it requires some trial and error, creative thinking, or simple troubleshooting. For those you posted I just had to switch some things around...

For Example: https://youtu.be/6HsiN1WLpsE

Just needed to loose the S after https, moved the period from between U & E to end of tube and added .com then the special bit was adding watch?v= after the / and before all the "video specific info". This applied to every one of those links, and fundamentally it was just copying the format of the address bar when listening to a video directly... That's just the single video of course, playlists give messed up links since they're part of the playlist/compilation. Hope that helps you out, there is a bit of a learning curve but it's not crazy steep once you get the hang of it.  Heck maybe what Darth Tepes said is a simpler workaround, I just haven't tried it that way. Probably several ways to skin this particular cat.

I'll have to check those out as well then! Thanks for a few more suggestions...

Necessary Addendum: I listened to one of those suggestions and noted it's merit in particular... Jericho is what I'd been searching for, I realize how it could be a favorite. I had previously designed a weapon in mind as a siege weapon/battlefield conquest style weapon. For Tyeth was kind enough to "bring it to life" and it's original concept has a lightsaber blade similar to the US 40" blade, intended for crowd control or getting through even the thickest of double locked/layered durasteel doors! I always have this vision of my "champion of the Sith" wielding said weapon to storm a Jedi stronghold confidently with a select few as assistants/underlings. This song captures that vision perfectly, like if I had that scene in a movie Old Republic era or earlier it's have this playing throughout the siege! Great choice Liera, living up to that Mandalorian status with this one! I'm totally making this the dedicated theme song for that design now (which FT had share my moniker)...

This is the link to the full weapon images/design: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=40017.1905

And this is the song Jericho by Celldweller that I'll now always have in mind picturing this beast in action:

Most of the music in my writing playlist is geared more toward Mercenaries/Bounty Hunters but I have a few good songs that crossover for Sith. I basically live with headphones in my ears so I have a lot of music to share.

The following are the songs I return to the most for heavy and hard sets in the gym, in no particular order except sort of by genre. I don't think any of them are purely or optimally Sith, but, one, I'm not Sith, and two, what I do know of the Sith, is that they feed on anger and rage, on strong emotions, and all of these songs allow me to use strong emotions as fuel, for one reason or another. But given that what draws out these emotions is different for all of us, and often even different at different times for each of us, I'd say just like having more than one lightsaber or force technique, a good Sith would have more than one song at their disposal to act as a catalyst for strong emotions to draw upon for power.

Close My Eyes Forever -Device (Disturbed’s singer feat Lzzy Hale)
The Sound of Silence -Disturbed
Indestructible -Disturbed
Land of Confusion -Disturbed
Never Again -Disturbed
Shot in the Dark -Within Temptation
Something to Remind You -Staind
When I’m Gone -Three Doors Down
A Certain Comfort -Tech N9ne (feat Kate Rose)
Straight Out the Gate -Tech N9ne (feat Serj Tankian)
The Beast -Tech N9ne
Harvey Dent -Tech N9ne
Cinderella Man -Eminem
Till I Collapse -Eminem
Lose Yourself -Eminem
Go To Sleep -Eminem

Something to Remind You, Shot in the Dark, Sound of Silence, Never Again... all sound like they relate to the Sith in belonging on a post Order 66 playlist, to listen to in hiding.

Several of them also have some massive if not primal rage. Go to Sleep for sure.

No lie, I'd forgotten about some of these so it was good to hear them again. Well worth a point, even if not perfectly suited to the category they're not entirely without merit.

Whenever I give a point for a contribution to something Dark Side (like FT developing a beauty of a hilt) I keep reflexively almost giving DS points... I keep stopping myself and double checking their points totals instead.

But yeah, it's a pretty good collection so far IMO. I can't complain.

Yeah, I'd call that first bit a good thing! It means a consensus (at least among many of the posting individuals) on several songs truly believed to "belong" here and fall into the category.

Glad others appear to be enjoying the results/exchange as much as I am.

These are two non SW mixes I'd stumbled across that I find fit nicely, though not single songs I enjoy listening to these as well for the overall vibe. Great for reading a SW book or some other story while playing in the background. Though I suppose I read more Darth books, or dark themed storylines.
