I have done yet another ANoobish mistake and got the retention screw stuck in my Azure Fallen emitter. I have been ignoring it for too long. What should I do. Do I need a new emitter or a new hole? I can’t move it at all. Now my saber cannot wear it’s blade or blade plug.  I always keep the blade plug in the saber when it doesn’t have a blade in it. I thankfully have another emitter from a different saber it can wear until I can solve this problem. I guess my dreams about breaking my saber are coming true.

I found a temporary solution to the problem. Since the decortive thumb screws fell out with in the first few days of owning the saber almost two years ago I haven’t had anything in those holes. I found that I can use them with a screw from another saber to solve the problem in order to get back to dancing. Makes the blade plug look silly but it works.

I did try dancing with the new set up. Definitely not stable. It works well enough for the blade plug but if I drop it it will come loose. I stayed with the slow dancing today. Otherwise the blade would have shot across the room. I will need to get longer screws and use both holes. Will keep you all updated on my progress with this. If possible I would like to get a new emitter for this saber. The saber is an Azure Fallen combat ready.

As mentioned in my journal here I did dance with the new set up for my Azure Fallen.

Journal 5/15/24

On the bright side I did try dancing with my second generation fix for my Azure Fallen. It works well enough but I still would like to get a replacement emitter for that saber. I am wondering who I should contact abut it. I will have the photo shoot up soon.

At least it doesn’t rub on my knuckles. I was worried that it would.

You could always drill out the old screw and re-tap new threads that are one size larger set screw, if you have or know someone who has the proper tools. You can get set screws from a local hardware store. This is what I would do. Hopefully this is helpful. MTFBWY!
