Hey guys ! Everyone has seen a "Laser sword" somewhere other than the star wars universe . Some have names like -plasma sword , fusion cutter , light blade ... and others ... This is a topic where you can post NON-SW light sabers , with a short description . Some have a very nice designs.. ok - me first . This is from the japaneese comic Tenjou Tenge I here by , dub this - Gas saber ! The explanation is on the comic strip   here is some dual weilding action :  And an alternative angle on the hilt :  I must say , it reminds me very much of the design on Palpatine's saber - and this comic predates the movies by a year or so ... nevertheless , this would be a cool design for a real Saber ! |

The Camilla Mk- III Beam Katana from No More Heroes 2. One of my favorite saber designs! I really wish I could get a hilt powder coated in white to mimic the design of this one. I also really like the gold hand guard, it's the kanji for "Tiger"  |

Beam sabers from Gundam, love them.
Funny thing though, if you go watch some G1 episodes of Transformers, listen to the sound that is made while they make Energon cubes. You might recognize it.

Dito, only I think you would need a special cutting board as well. Otherwise you could end up slicing through your counter or table.  |

I concur with the thoughts on the Smash Brothers beam sword... someone get an image up for that?
Also, Disgaea for the DS/PS2/PSP? They have Light Sabre's (the notes say the force may be with you) in green, which is regular, red which is rare, and blue which is legendary, but then there is the Yoshellsuna which is basically an epic sword (strongest sword in the game) and it's a larger yellow light sabre... I wonder if the artists for Disgaea have any hilt art for any of those blades...
