just ordered myself the $75 box and i can't wait. it will be my first saber and all i hope is i get a hilt that matches the blade colour. i will probs post what i get. also quick question what people got from their own boxes

I'm waiting on mine as well, so welcome to the club!

Mine should be here around the 24th of January according to the new 8-14 business day handling and figured a few days for shipping.

Mine was ordered Dec 27th, and with the crazy holiday rush, I'll just be patient and wait.

But I can't help but be excited at what MB I may receive.

Do you have a favorite "this will be perfect if I got this hilt" design?

Myself, it would be the Catalyst, and then the Prophecy V3. Those would be the ones I would love to get, sound or not. But I do like all the designs, so I'll dig whatever I do get.

I'm sure when the orders go out, we'll be seeing many, many threads showing off the new sabers we received.

And that'll be so awesome.

I ordered on January 30th, and still processing ($75 Mystery Box).

There are a lot of vids on YouTube, which is how I found out about these Mystery Boxes (though I was aware of this site).

What a fantastic marketing ploy. I would likely not have ordered a Saber based on my current financial situation. But, even the lowest possible Saber ($105 after shipping), is well worth the price.

My least preferred option, would be an all black hilt with a red blade, and no sound. But I gotta say, even that would be great for the price

Even if it was an all black hilt I received, I could only hope it's Orange, then Silver, then Red as far as LED preferences go.

yea perfect hilt for me is either a fulcrum/lost gray or any on the cross-guard hilts. i have done quite a bit of sword fighting so i feel like i would be more comfortable with a cross guard, but considering i have only ever scene one video with one in it i know i won't get one

I got *lucky* with my $75 Mystery Box, I got a Shock LE in Guardian Blue (No Sound). I love the saber.

We would love to see pictures or even an unboxing video!

As long as you are aware that the great majority of Mystery Boxes are basically basic stunt setups with small tweaks to take them above the $75 price point, and don't get unreasonable expectations, it should go well. If you're judging the odds on forum posts or YouTube videos of Mystery Boxes, keep in mind that most Mystery Boxes producing Initiate/Apprentice stunts or similar don't see a camera or forum post. The exciting pulls get all the exposure. Upping your odds of getting "something" by buying multiple boxes is more expensive in the long run than simply designing your saber of choice. Unless you've got a use for two dozen random stunts, that is.

If sound is an absolute necessity, but you don't care what the hilt or blade are, spring for the $200 MB, rather than buying three $75 MBs.
If you want a great saber, go ahead and build one (using darts to randomize your options if necessary), rather than playing saber-lotto.

In my opinion, my best outcome scenario would be to order the one hilt you want, then add a mystery box to the order. You'll get the cool one you really want and you may also get a really cool MB as well so it'll be a win-win!
