This will look good, but only after you add a scope and a nice coat of paint. ;)

*is flattered*  ;D

Okay, my suggestions are as follows:

You've got a great base going here, the M-16 was used as a base for a couple rifles in the movies, so you are already on the right track. I'd try plugging the slot the clip goes in, and then maybe cutting down and / or attaching the clip to the side of the gun so that it sticks out sideways, or you could even ditch the clip all together (might look best that way, as a lot of blasters don't have clips). After that I'd ditch the side handle on the barrel, the light is all personal preference, add a scope to the top (preferably something long and thin), cut off that red tube sticking out of your barrel, maybe glue a washer or something over the end of the barrel for detail, give it a coat of paint and a little weathering, and you're done!

Of course, that's just what I'd do. Oh! and I'd glue on some random little greeblies here and there, washers, model car pistons, vents, and the like. I'd also suggest that if you are REALLY brave, this thing would look SICK with lights in it!

As I said before, you are off to an awesome start, and you picked a great base gun! Good luck with this! I can't wait to see it when it's done. :)

thank you everyone for your input, I'll update when I get a chance . new plans : paint, weathering, scope, adding random parts losing the light, red thing and clip slot.
I'm excited to see the vulcan mods @ kalibos

Looks amazing.  Can't wait to see the finished product.

You're welcome!

A greeblie is sort of the 'fancy' name for random parts. They can be old washers, a bolt you found in the parking lot, parts stolen from model kits, really just about anything is a greeblie! My personal favorite sources are old model airplane parts, and those unidentifiable items you find that would otherwise be thrown away. Just as long as it looks interesting, it works! :) Again, good luck!

Solid man.  These blasters make me want to break out some of my Nerf guns and some spray paint and go to work...

Such an uncivilized weapon....but I have one for uncivilized times.   It's a storm trooper blaster that I spray painted matte black.  I may improve on it sometime when I move, I'll have a garage then for my little projects.

Nother idea just hit me, I really like what you did with that hose attached to the light. Perhaps if you cut the mount off of the light, left the mount attached to the gun along with the hose as you have it... that would look really sick. Yeah, I think that would look awesome! Wires, hoses, and things like that really look great on blasters but rarely seem to get used for them. Leaving that element on yours would really give it a rocking personal flare. :)

That video almost made me scrap the whole thing. So this is gonna take awhile for me to do no access to a shop and i live on the 3rd floor of my building. I will try and get everything done but room to work is an issue anyway thanks for the ideas and the e 11 vid man that thing is cool

Don't get discouraged! Remember, most of the guns used in the movies looked HORRIBLE close up in person. Heck, almost all of them were just resin copies! But on film or at a small distance.... they look incredible. I'm sure when you finish, you'll find yours looks AWESOME. YOu'll be pointing it at yourself in the mirror and geeking out like crazy before you know it. :)

Of coarse you'd have to bring me out to Cali, so I can be your "Deep" since you'll be like Ultra, 'cept with blasters. XD

one of those big a$$ nerf rapid fire machine guns...but you would have to come up with a way for it to shoot those mini light sticks for a glowing effect at night.

Okay, THAT is epic..... but totally ripped off the frame of a Nerf Gun. I could build that bad boy with 1 nerf, a piece of PVC pipe, and some spray paint. Oh, and a big drill head. lol Sans scope, of course. But I could do that pretty easy too, I think.

I have a Vulcan that I painted Black with Orange accents:

If you were to spray the darts with a luminescent paint they would glow in the dark.  Maybe I'll try it!

That E-11 video was absolutely amazing! It makes me want to move towards blasters! And the Nerf Vulcan looks stunning in black and orange. Good luck with the blaster-building!
