No, it's only possible with the Emerald Driver. Without it you will not have the Pulse feature. You can upgrade your saber, though, and add the Emerald board to your saber. I think that should be possible even when you only have the Obsidian Lite sound board.

Just a thought, and I don't know the answer, because I've never tried to build a saber with this combination, but...
Are emerald and obsidian lite compatible? Or does the emerald require li-ion (making it incompatible with lite)?

You're right, just checked it on the website. Obsidian Lite and Emerald are incompatible - Emerald needs a Li-Ion setup which does not work with the Lite sound board.

You can try, but there's no guarantee that it works  Do you happen to know if that's the Default Obsidian sound font which also comes with the Premium v3 and v4 sound boards? |

No idea, sorry. Though from the video, it sounds like Lite and Premium have, at least, the same startup and powerdown. |
