Well some kids are destined to be geniuses, so they figure the discipline thing out faster. Others merely learn how to buck an inconsistent system. The latter is more of the way of the modern world. |

I was also spanked, but I can't remember one single instance where it hurt. It was the sound that got me, which is why it worked. I've never been a fan of sharp, sudden noises (firecrackers, guns, thunder, etc.) so that principle alone was enough to keep me in line. My dad would sometimes roll up a piece of paper (literally one piece of paper) and slap my butt with it. I hated the sound SO MUCH, that I wouldn't do whatever it was again. I remember we used to have this stupid competition in elementary school called "field day" that was like a sort of relay race. I refused to do the part where you had to sit on a balloon and pop it because the sound freaked me out. My dad could have just popped a balloon around me as a kid and I'm pretty sure I would have run screaming.  |

Someone is messing with you and giving you dark points. I think it just shifts your alignment. So, your rank is rising, even as your alignment shifts. I'm not sure, but I don't think a Templar will have just 2 points. |

I, we( my siblings and I) laugh now, but our parents were moody mother fo'quas! My sister got a brush broken over her head, pans, hangars. I had my babysitter leave welts on my back. When asked, it's because I threw up that I was hit. My mom just took me away from that house. If I saw welts on my kid, f'n flip! Worst thing my dad did to me was throw my Sword of Omens short blade toy out the window while waiting for my mom at Montgomery Ward. Scarred til this day! Hell, I'm bipolar but other than that, I'm okay!!

Lol!! It's a very potent weapon, but never from my parents. My older brother got me with it. That's a go to in the arsenal in Hispanic communities. That, and the belt. The sound of my dad folding and snapping his belt is chilling, cuz he had this thick arse belt. It hurt! Funny thing was I thought I was a good kid, what did I do to get hit?? My brother would make rat tails out of wet towels and tell me to stand still. Flick dry calloused skin from his feet at me at night. Back then, we had the dial TV, so he'd slap his stomach while I stood there Everytime he wanted the channel changed. My brother freaking scarred me more than my parents!!! Gonna give my therapist a call first thing tomorrow..... |
