Oh my GOD! There's a tranny in the bathroom! I AM SO OFFENDED!!! I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!   (+1 lol) In other news . . .this is both hysterical AND a vent, so please feel free to laugh. I was with my girlfriend ("But aren't you married?" Yep, but we're polyamorous) the other day and we were out doing some shopping. I'm pretty butch, so I'm often called "sir" (which is hilarious and I do like it). However, my girlfriend and I are the same height, which is also funny because seriously, I am not tall. This is relevant info. Anyway, this ultra-smooth punk waited until I walked away to start hitting on her. She's very shy, so when this kind of thing happens, she usually just laughs nervously and waits for me to end the situation. I walked back over there and put my arm around her and the guy says, "Oh, I guess your brother thinks he can kick my ass for talking to you." LOL, what. We look nothing alike. So, I said, "I'm her partner, not her brother. And it's time for you to keep walking, pal." He said and I quote, "What the $^&* do women want with these short stack pr*cks when they could have a REAL man?" Holy crap, I started laughing. Robustly. I think that's the first time I've been "insulted" that way in my life. This guy was fuming freakin' mad about it. It's now the best joke between us ever. Y'all missed the chance to give me a proper title! |

The hard part is I don't have my name or any of my gender markers changed yet, so that may complicate things.(It's a loooong process, and expensive, which is why it's not done yet and why I can't wait for that to come through before I start applying.) That's the only bright spot. Like my friend and former coworker said last night, this way only HR and the hiring manager has to know. To everyone else I'll just be Brooke. Very VERY sorry to read that TJ ... Really hope you will find a better place ... hope you are OK ...
