Interesting. I've had a lot of clunkers in my day and been stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow or help. Many times police have stopped and ask what the trouble was..but not once have any of them asked to check my vehicle or even made a quick look inside as TJ said. I guess region may play a role in that as well.
I've only had that happen once, and it was dark, so I can understand. He shined the light back there just long enough to see no one was back there. Every other time is the same old "You know you were going X MPH in an X MPH zone? License, registration, proof of insurance please. Here you go this is a citation... blah blah pay your fine." |

The Winnipeg Jets has advanced to the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup playoffs ! Usually like Jame's team they eventually sputter and we'd be lucky if they even won a game or two in round one. Traditionally they like or need to dump the puck down the ice and hope that a Jet player is the first one to chase it down.  I think that Toronto is out so Jets are the only Canadian team left. And my fan jersey is in storage in Winnipeg ( vent part ).  Did I mention before that I'm usually so over anything to do with hockey.  Toronto beat Boston last night to tie the series at three. Game seven of round one is slated for tomorrow night. It'd be cool to see a Tdot - Winterpeg final.  |

How long does it take for a name change?
A few months, usually. I've been trying, but money is also a factor.... I've had it a couple times, but something always comes up that actually is urgent... usually car repairs. And the past few months I've been hardly able to scrape together enough to pay bills.  Actress/model James King pulled it off for years. Don't lose heart.
That's a bit different in that she was known in her industry, so had some name recognition. People in that industry generally knew it was a woman when they saw that name, I'd wager. |

Well my Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team is out of the Stanley cup playoffs thanks to the Capitals, UGH! I would rather see the Caps go all the way so then at least we would have been beaten by the best team. But if they don't I just hope the Cup winner is NOT the penguins again!!!  If they are in the final game I will be hoping the other team wins! |
