** The Champion is a member who has been elected by his peers to represent the group. Only a small number of rank ^ members will receive the title Champion.
As a group, one of our goals is to help those who are new to the community, so we use ranks to provide a chance of responsibility to members.

I was looking online at temples in Cambodia, and I found this... I was looking for a temple design that could be ours, that wouldn't look just like the Jedi temple... does this look familiar at all?

Anyway, I plan on making it on Mine Craft... once it's done, I'll give a video tour.

hmmm... coincidence? nope. by the way, that's the Angkor Wat temple. Also our Citadel will look different.

What planet should out Temple be on? Just out of curiosity.

I'm thinking one of the colonie worlds... one that's moderately lush... some forests, feilds, somewhere where nature is open, and we can tune to it.

I also think that if we start anything on the RP, it should be in the TOR section, since thats where the Force Users are abundant... even in the Republic Era (not that we have it) Jedi out number the sith 1,000,000,000,000 to 1.  :)

personally (this is slightly off topic) I think disney screwed up when they did the New Republic era, Starwars is basically about the force, and the Old Republic is the most exemplary of the force. With just as many Sith as there were Jedi.

Dude, you need to read more {> 5 ABY} EU... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, if not totally disillusioned as to what SW is actually about.

A Ziggurat is cool... but I didn't see this until this morning. I already designed the temple. perhaps we could use Ziggurats for our "off world" settlements. You know, like planets besides our main one.

Uhh... sure. Lego is cool. I have LDD, so I could probably build it on there, and post/upload a document of it, and you can open it with this:

This way we can have a preview version of the temple... wait till you see my vision imprinted by Minecraft... its GLORIOUS, the idea I have for the temple.

features of the temple include:
- Extra tall rooms (8.5' [6 blocks tall in Minecraft terms])
- 6 Guard Parapets
- 1 massive guard spire at the center
- 7 stories of the main section, with additional 8 stories of the guard tower
- Monumental stairs that stretch for two stories. (silence is expected since they pass over the catacombs)
- 2 floors of catacombs featuring air-tight coffins (prevent decay), and holographic turn-around of each "permanent resident"
- Entrance hall separated from catacombs by double-thick floor. (12' high)
- 4 large (that's an under-statement) entrance arches leading into the 1.5 story high entrance hall.
- A library with a study and a lounge.
- Dorms with an open-air lower patio for relaxation
- an upper patio with a waterfall that ends on the base of the monument steps
- a flat roof with a public "agora"
- an aerial garage for your personal aircraft, as well as a slightly "off-site" ground garage

the central guard spire contains:
- a lounge
- a meditation floor
- an archive with neutralized Jedi and Sith Holocrons (can be activated by any member, weather using dark or light force)
- a consuling area
- 2 guard floors at the top
- an 8 directional look-out balcony

an indented top two floors containing
- a leadership conference area
- and a look-out point
- and a flat roof with a place for a lead watchman to stand. (an amazing view btw)

Did I say that there was a WATERFALL? there is, it flows from the base of the guard spire, across the roof flowing north to the patio, falling from the patio, creating a curtain of water for: the lower patio, the study lounge, and lands at a basin at the bottom of the monument steps.

Also from all around the fortress, you can look out and see the untamed beauty of nature all around us.

How might I join this order, and what responsibilities would such a position entail?

If so welcome. After acceptance, it would be appreciated if you would begin recruiting... we are low on members.

If you accept, you would receive the title "Lord", unless our current Champion doesn't accept the position.

alright, my next question is why red?

Why not... would you rather it be blue? or would pink do it?

Anyway, my main reason is that we are also Sith... at least some of us are. The red is the blood among us, within us, and the blood that ties us together as brothers.

Although that's not official, that's an idea... when I started with the insignia, I saw red as the perfect color, and I thought... "Red Jedi... that sounds pleasing... why not?"

it was simply out of curiosity, I have no qualms with that color.

so what is my rank and what exactly should I put in my sig?

Considering that your post count is over 1350, your rank will be 5. Currently our other rank five member is currently been AWOL, so if he doesn't return to say that he wants to be our Champion, you can take that place.

You don't need to recruit everyone right away, but each rank has a number of "apprentices" that one should have. If you could find just one apprentice for now, and perhaps try to find a second after that. The way you take an apprentice is that you basically recruit members you find to have a similar point of view to your own... one you might want to counsel, as well as one who has a lower post count (which shouldn't be hard for someone of your rank).

By the way, as found in the introductory post, you would ideally have 6-8 apprentices.

Just wanna fix that up. People won't be in your apprenticeship forever, and having several at once is something both the Jedi and Sith seem to agree is not such a good idea (but for different reasons).

regarding the food for thought bit, I believe that the emperor had Vader, and while it is slightly different, the hand as well. The hand was not treated as an apprentice in the traditional sense, she is, in my opinion, an apprentice.

As far as apprentaces go I have one unofficial apprentace I've been mentoring threw face book and I'm not sure i'd he has joined the forum other than that there a number on the forum I've been advising on custom builds and the such

I think we are using the wrong term, and therefore giving the wrong impression... does the term "Student" work better... a class isn't one-on-one, and in this case 101 could be a bit extensive, because this is an easy forum, and we aren't really teaching each other how to live, simply advising them on their situations.

But if you prefer a 101 style... go ahead.

Abonshee has been eliminated from the filter-out.

Bilios is my favorite because of it's grasslands... Vixus' home-world was on a Colonial grassland, and grasslands can be quite serene.
Vycinyth is also the most earth-like of the planets.

Back on topic, now that we have a homeworld we need to work on building the temple. Vixus are you using PC or XBOX for Minecraft?

Now that I am awake I'd like to just say that I have gotten 2 people to agree to learning under me. We'll see where it goes...

I don't have the game yet, but it will be on Xbox when I get it. (I could probably save the game file on a flash-drive, and e-mail it to somebody else... but I don't have internet, so team-building is a little out of the picture... unless somebody can come over to Fort Wayne and system-link with me.)

I'm currently working on developing the Lego preview. It looks nice already.

(But yeah... I have no internet, and therefore... no life. My house is a dead-zone. no cable. no internet. FML.)

@Vix (or anyone in general): I was thinking about your idea of infinite edit (which would be useful to us to keep an active member roster on this page), but I also want to make a thread in the Introductions Board, something like "For those new to Forums", and it would have our mission statement (e.g. "the Red Jedi are forum volunteers that will show you the ropes, just pm from the list below" and this list can be kept up to date), have a list of the Red Brothers who specialise in a particular part of the forum (esp for the Way of the Saber), and we can show them around, explain all the buttons/icons when making a post, how to upload pictures, yada yada yada...

That is the purpose of the Order, isn't it? What does everyone think?

For certain people, yes I think so. As was mentioned before... It's play dough, whatever you want! Or was that overridden when I wasn't looking?

Both members with a "6" rank, as well as Genkaku Sho'shyk are veteran members, anyone with "Consular" next to their rank is good with advice, other members with a "4" or a "5" rank are also familiar with the forum.

I will leave you to decide which members are knowledgeable with certain aspects of the forum, since I don't get around too much. I know Relan is in the saber and customization bit, myself, you, Deceptae, and XtheXcodeX are all into RP, Relan is also in RP, but I'm not sure how much, Acolyte and Jeff are fairly new, but Acolyte is a quick learner and probably knows his way around. I also believe Acolyte is into saber customization.

We need to have a Mod with us who won't get fed up with our "antics", I know Rel doesn't really agree with the idea of having the Order in general, He doesn't riot against us, but I know dad doesn't approve of most of my ideas.

I'd say Mod Manroon, since he does Ultra Wing, but I'm not sure how often he's here.

@ Deceptae: You don't need to be "tech-support", but could you just be ready to show people around?

Lol I do tent to hang out around the technical and customs sections alot. Although I do love a good scolarly debate and would be More than happy to show new members the ropes.

I was mainly concerned with people who are big in the combat threads (guardians), and probably customising threads (gearheads?), too, since some people join the community specifically for those topics... everyone else would be general leaders (consulars).

I agree with the idea of a mod, if not joining, at least endorsing the us. Like a third party "Friend" that checks in now and then. Manroon is a good idea, but I haven't had much contact with him. Not sure who else...

What I thought too. They could be like Genkaku, "Friend of The Red Jedi Order". Your ideas for categories are perfect. Although I'd say RP is another big one.

RP is a bit touchy, those people are best directed to contact Rel for him to deal with. He runs the show now and wants things done a certain way.

Maby we can get the big guy ( BenPass) to endorce us. He is verry actave on the forum and always has good advice in all areas. That being said the catagories we have

Leaders? I'm not sure about that one seeing as that what we all are especially those who have reached knight comander.
 
Costuming/ props should have a rep, although I'm not so much tith the costuming part but I can figure out how to build most props.

I don't think you even need to ask. You have founded the order and put in much effort to make it what it is.

I use Sama as more polite, formal, someone I am not too familiar with or is higher up than me.

I started this to help familiarize myself with the system, as it goes along with my newest (as yet unused) RP character.

Ah... I see. trying to get used to using the terms before you really need it. My uncle is American-Japanese, and my cousins are Japanese, so I understand the culture from pen-paling with him. I also think you might remember the brief battle over Subs vs. dubs on the ^ < v game (I know Xaeon is part of it so he knows), but I prefer dubs, but I also occasionally indulge in subs. I also read Shonen-jump (they keep the honorifics intact) so I have more-or-less absorbed the titles involved, but they are foreign to me so the conflict with my ordinary speech. It kinda takes a Japanese name to use an honorific or it sounds a bit out of place.

I was thinking, if you were a child, your honorific would be Deceptae-kun....

Haaaaaa! You went there. Naw, but my name (as you may remember) is unique enough to work with the honorifics, ( Kun works if you let the name roll rather than push it off) and I have begun to use them with some of my closer friends too, but I guess it depends on the context, it's not for everyone.

Joshua is a bit hard for me to use honorifics with... I understand that sometimes you can append syllables to a name to make it work. like Tu eres in Spanish yet "eres" actually is "es" so in short, honorifics are a base form.

for example, Joshoson would come from somebody who respects me as a semi-equal, While Joshosama should come from you... just kidding.

Now that's something new, I believe a point is in order.

Most people shorten my name to "Vix", but once you know what I'm about to tell you, you will see this doesn't work.

my name, to be pronounced correctly is "visus prii" although some other possible pronunciations is "veesus", or "viseous"
The first two are my preferred pronunciations, and yes, my last name is pronounced like the Grand Prix.
the first X is a high x, which if it were written would have a ^ above it. a high x makes a "long s" sound. I might find a way send a sound byte file using YouTube to display how I pronounce it.

Now. I think a mid-week update is in order. Nothing happened last week, and that was hastily made up for in the first two days of this week. this is an improvised update, no formalities from me this time.

so what we learned this week:
- Deceptae requires a really large list of conditions in order to actually be offended
- Xaeyon can recognize proper and creative use of the word "juxtaposition"...
But can't immediately identify what it means to have a GIF of people wearing a scify get up while clapping.
- thankfully he got it
- and hopefully he requires just as many conditions as Deceptae does in order to be offended by playful humor.

- We have two new members, both are Initiates which is a good thing since it shows that we are becoming known even to the new guys.
- Master Relan (to use his RP name... man I remember those times... too bad he dropped out.) has taken a student who happens to be his brother named...
- Xero Tyrnith... who is yet to make his first post in the order.
- as well as our newest initiate who was brave enough to walk into our temple and ask... something anyone should do...

It's fine, it's been kinda quiet here anyway. Welcome home, from what I here, you had your hands full.
(I've also taken you as my student (the new name for apprentice), so if you need any help, I'm here.)

I would suggest that you check the weekly Friday reports that I have made a couple of.

A basic summery:
- We have a lot of new members
- We have a home planet... Bilios
- A few people have new ranks
- I'm now the janitor and general maintenance specialist
- we have found that it takes a long mathematical equation in order to figure out how to offend Deceptaesama
- We have begun using Japanese honorifics.

I was thinking... Due to switching out so much, I think I like the profile for Snoe more than Vixus. Not the same one for the dungeon crawl, but the one I based that after. A temple guard who uses a pike instead of a double-bladed saber, is only 4' tall, loves smoke bombs, and has a sense of humor. Not nearly as aggressive as Vixus, but doesn't make too many friends because of his playful side. I think he comes from my sarcastic... mildly annoying side (if there's a single one of those). He likes to toy with his enemies, poking jokes at them while he snoops around his typical smoke-screen.

It has been quiet for a while... I was wondering if anybody wants to have an RP of the activity inside the temple... Respond with a comment.


Oh! Oh! I'm finally getting started on building the temple on Minecraft. It should be done... some time.

You know I am always up for a little light roleplaying, but I feel this is more of a place for learning and sharing or knowledge and ideas. the sharing of ideas can be conducted in a roleplaying sort of way, in some aspects we are roleplaying life without the benefit of any out of game conversations.

now I need to find a way to do minecraft, huh.

I was thinking of starting a new thread in "off topic" (here) with the role-play.

I think you answered your own question, but to repeat the answer: This will be a story of the daily happening within the temple. This will be a peaceful zone, sabers can be carried, but not used. The location would be notified in the same way it is done in the normal RP section. Members can interact, talk, play chess, meditate, eat, read, enjoy the beautiful scenery, exercise, and perhaps eventually spar.

The no-saber use is nullified if a sparring section is made available... a case in which we will have to agree upon a judging member (possibly our champion or other experienced member) to over-see the match and gauge weather members are playing by the rules, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.

I think this has become one of those cases where the priest asks if there are "any objections".

So why don't I make this simple and straight-forward:
We have 13 (14 counting Genkaku) members, If we get at least six of us to say yes, I will create the thread for the RP.

(my next post begins the list... copy and paste each former list to add your name... ending with the full list of signatures.)

I'm here. Hey question about the rp. Have you been able to get with the mods about setting that up yet? And who will be running the npc's cuz I'm sure that in the setting that there will be some other charecters roming the temple?

I've read through your topic here.  If I understand your intention with the Red Jedi Order, then I hope to eventually earn consideration to join your ranks.  Sure, I could spam a few sections and artificially get my post count up, but I would rather my posts accomplish something.  Besides, once I receive my sabers tomorrow and get their pictures posted, I should likely hit the 20 post minimum.

My intention is to become more active in the forums, with the goal of making new friends, learning more about the Jedi code and philosophy, and to begin learning the art of saber customization and construction.  That being said, I am very new to forums and am looking for guidance, and while I have some experience with customization and improvisation, I lack any experiencing with wiring or programming.

I think its time that's its time everyone check in. Vixus has been slacking ( probly just bussy with life) so I will take up the torch.

Thanks man, I have been on lots of other forums, and have been on a hunt for some of the greatest RP forums out there. I have a few for those who are interested. I just haven't been active here since not many people here are active either. I keep an eye out for activity though.

Actually I only own 4 received 5 and 2 where raffel prizes an one of witch I gave to my brother so I actually only baught 3 one of them was a grabbag. Other than that I've baught a few conponets here and there but mostly the materials I use to mod my sabers comes from junk scraps or stuff from craft stores and hard ware stores. I like to build stuff from what I already have on hand repurposing at its best.

I think that the RP was moved because this is the "Off Topic" section and an RP is really nothing more then a fan fiction. They didn't put us in the actual RP zone because our thread doesn't cohere with the RP zone's rules and regulations. It's more of an "anything goes" kind of RP and isn't set in a specific timeline.

Well since your order was created to help Noobs and I have only been a member for a short while I was thinking that maybe one of you could help me figure out why enjin.com doesn't work when I use their signature generator. I use a mac, I am not sure if this is important. But either way the second I start trying to edit anything on their generator there is a loading symbol that never stops loading. If you have any ideas or suggestions to this I would greatly appreciate the assistance of the honorable Red Jedi Order.

Hey guys! (finally, I'm not replying to something!) I have been working on a temple on Minecraft (the one I promised), and its doing... SPECTACULARLY! I'm working on the fine details now. It doesn't have a starfighter, air hanger in it as planed (I can't build past the clouds) :'( But it has everything else. I haven't looked it up yet, but I believe that the file from the Xbox 360 is able to operate on the PC virsion... not sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but if you have an Xbox with Minecraft on it, you will definitely get to see it. I also do intend to video-tape a tour of it when I get a chance, which I pill post on YouTube.

And it would help to have a clean and concise list to present to him. Beccause i'd like to keep this as friendly and helpfull forum. Cuz I've been to other forum and none are as helpfull or entertaining as this saberforum. We have all been noobs at one point and for the newest members for them it would be nice just to know that there is someone that they can call on for help.

Well, being a member of the Obsidian Order, I would say my main support deals with questions on the Obsidian soundboard and the Emerald Driver. However, I will of course answer other questions as well when I'm able to.

Speaking of witch. I've got a project I've got on hold cuz I can't make sound fonts. Its concerning making wave files of different jedi masters quotes for a holocron. But we'll talk about that later.

I sure most of you know what google hangouts is. My idea is to posably have a weekly or biweekly hangout session for the forum. not something that's limited to the red jedi order but something we could get the entire comunity invalved in.

I'm not familiar with Google handouts, but if it's anything like a chat room it probably isn't something I would care for.  I was a staff member at a forum for sports card collecting and we had weekly chats for new members.  It got to where it felt more like a chore I had to do than anything else.  I guess if it was something where I could just pop in for a few minutes it would be okay. 

Google Hangouts is not only a traditional chatroom where you write with each other, but it's rather a place where you can actually watch and talk to people via webcam and headset.
If you want to have an impression on how this works, watch the TPLA Live shows on Youtube. They're based on Google Hangouts.

However, I probably can't take part in that either - time shift, you know :D

[/quote]Oh, Sorry about that (scratches head), The paths are the vocations that you choose. There are 2 or three depending on which level you are. if you are a rank 3 or rank 4, you can choose the path of sentinel or knight... at rank five, consular is added to that list. It's just a little something That we added. My title as Leader of Guard (I think it was written wrong at some point and wasn't fixed) is part of the Sentinel path, and Leader of Arms is the later part of the Knights.Sorry, but I think we have enough Champions right now, really there should only be one, but we are still moving up.

Karmack is actually derived from two sources.  First, I had a relative 3-4 generations back who's name was MacKerr.  I flipped that in my very early online days into KerrMac.  Which was immediately shortened to "Macky", which I absolutely hate.  :-/

So, reading at the time a book on Egyptology, I took "KerrMac" and melded it with Karnak, the great center of Egypt's pantheon and ended up with Karmack.

Welcome to the Temple, Shalateaus.  I don't believe lack of experience or desire to RP will be an issue, most of us don't participate in RP as far as I can tell.   The main qualifications seem to be a willingness to be helpful and answer questions.  :-)

So... uh... so far, I have built our temple on Minecraft... but it has been sabotaged by my 16 year old nephew, so if you happen to receive the file, don't worry about the sub-basement with all kinds of tunnels, that's not in the plans, but it's there... or I might clean it up a little bit before I send it.

I am currently devising a method of sharing it with everyone, and I am not sure if PC users can use it or not since it was made for the Xbox version.

customizations and rp are the boards i watch and post in but i havent done saber customs yet but i have months xp in the Old Republic RP section i also watch the ones having to do leath wrapping saber color gallerys  eview section is something i look into if its on sabers from Overlord to Chosen one price range i currently have the one 2011 Knickel Plated Redemption that i wrap green leather and i am looking to upgrade and customise chers vis 8)

This all depends on the time period your order is within.

The red jedi order is mostly a groupe dedicated to helping other members of the forum weather it be technical, customization, props/ costuming and what not. Although we do have our own rp section in fan fiction and art section of the forum.  If I remember right it is set in the old republic era check the first few pages it should be there.

Turns out it's not. I am taking new classes that make it so that my lunch schedule is separated from my friends. The group that I did hang out with at lunch booted me out because "I talk too much"... and you know it's too much stress being within the bottom level of the top dogs and not enough benefit. All of my friends in ROTC are officers in full-blown leadership positions, but I don't have time for that AND prepare for collage and life after high school... so in other words, I'm a Sr. Airman, which is the highest attainable permanent rank, so people expect me to lead, but there's no room for me to lead because everyone else is being lead by someone else!
     Look at me, I'm wearing my emotions on my sleeve. Wake me up when September ends. :(

We all have moments like that, man. It's no problem to vent, I've learned we are a very tolerant community. I admire that you are able to say that to all your friends, it's what we're here for.

When I was in High School I was told by a marine corps recruiter that if I was off meds without incident for a year the marines would take me, so I stopped taking my meds and worked really hard on emotional control for two years, and then I learned that foreign objects permanently lodged in the head is an automatic disqualifier. I tried getting into the coast guard and was told the same. My senior year of high school I pretty much self destructed and alienated most of my friends. You are not alone, and "talking too much" won't drive any of us away.

If you ever need help shoot me a PM, I am here and I will do anything I can to help, lend an ear, offer advice (can't guarantee that it will be the best), I've been close to where you are now.

Sure why not?  Gray Jedi are those who use both Light and Dark force power usually without any allegiance to the Jedi/ Sith orders or those who are members of the Jedi order who to not totally agree with the Jedi High Council/ always follow the code (Qui-Gon Jinn) so why would it be a stretch to have a member of the Sith be considered gray as well?

all i ment was, there was already a name for the middle, weather ou call it grey jedi or grey sith... most already know them as "grey jedi".. but as the saying goes, to each their own..

I mean, technically, it doesn't matter, the phrase 'Grey Jedi' is simply moe wide spread.

A "gray Jedi" is a jedi who has turned to the Dark side, but has not been accepted into the sith order. I think that there isn't any "gray sith", because their masters would probably get rid of them if they thought that the sith wasn't 100% loyal. At least that's what I think. 

'Grey Jedi' are those that have fallen from/left the Jedi order, but haven't joined the dark side. Or, they can be defined as trained force sensitives who align themselves neutrally/believe in the living force or that the force is not simply two polar regions. You're thinking of dark Jedi, or maybe Sith acolytes.

well, the Sith are alwayse killing their apprentices/masters because they think they aren't loyal. Anyway, for now we can just call them... ...

Force alignment is very confusing.

Well, I think it's more of a personal observation, there isn't really an exact line between light and dark. If someone calls them-self dark, then I guess they are dark. If someone has high standards, and they don't meet those standards, they consider themselves a failure, but someone with lower standards considers them successful.

So... I'm wanting to vent a little. I know there's a place just next door for that, but I think I'll go here instead.

My problem: I had $50 I wanted to use to by another saber part (perhaps an extension when they come back), but no any more because I had to pay a bogus library fine. the kriffer told me that my movies were back on Monday (that'd be yesterday) but when I went to return them, they were 3 days late. I had my owings down to 8 bucks, but the fine of - 1 dollar per movie (6) per day (3)= 18. That allready puts me over the $15 cap off for checking stuff out. Also, it happens that I had books due the day after... racking up even more 25 cent fines. making a grand-total fine of 30-something bucks. I was only going to pay 20 of it, but when I swipped my card, it payed all 30, leaving me without the money I need to buy a saber.

I just saw my beautiful armory get cut in half (considering I only have one part right now.  :'( :'( :'(

I'm sorry to hear that, having to pay bogus fines is always the worst.

I think I might just have a chance at expanding though! I found a couple spare bucks lying around.

Crazy swamp hermit

I was always under the impression that swamp hermits where supposed to be wise 900 year old jedi masters. Hmm, anyone else see the flaw in this plan.

It depends on what swamp your talking about. anyway, both swamp hermits are extremely childish- although being secluded and alone for about twenty years doesn't apply to Genkaku.  ;D

The original swamp hermit only feigned childishness though. 

Yoda was acting childish to get Luke to follow him.

Even if Yoda did do it on purpose, or not, being immature has an excuse after 20 years of no sentient contact.

I will be found most often in the RP, as that is my primary passion, bring the story of SW to the masses, and bringing the masses to SW, I will hit up other SW related off topic sections but I like many are here because of our love of SW.

True, however if you read EU Yoda did have some contact with other people during that time, although admittedly it was still hardly any contact.

My question is... How did Luke not expect Yoda to be "the Jedi Master"? Really, what other life forms could be on Dagobah besides ruthless creatures and fugitive Jedi?

Think about his past: what did he see during his life on Tatooine? What imaginations of life did he have? Even after meeting Kenobi, he remained quite naive...and he was the only Jedi he knew, so I'm pretty sure he expected someone of Kenobi's type or even greater when looking for Master Yoda - not a small, green, wrinkled alien with a wooden walking stick eating his food and making a fool out of him ;D

Also, I'm thinking of starting a Jedi Combat RP somewhere (either in tandem with the Temple RP in the Fan-Fiction, or the T&P if the mods allow it.)
It would be Jedi teamed together, and would have standard issue character sheets.

The RP's here are pretty much at the discretion of the GM's for multiple very valid reason's, but if you are thinking of creating an offsite RP send me an PM. I'd be interest in any RP, and would be interested in sharing my offsite failures to see if we could come up with a functioning offsite RP.

I've got an off-site RP board on Pro Forum, but it is inactive due to lack of players, (it was a Sith based RP). If we have at least 4 dedicated players I am open to rebranding it and making a Grey Jedi style RP.

Vixus, send me a PM about what you want the site to be like, and the players you have. I'll then get in contact with my former players to see it we can create a seperate RP. You need a lot of players to have an off site RP, over 2,000 players hit this site a day and RP activity is limited.

I don't want to spend the effort on reformating my RP, (especially during the start of the fanatsy baseball season) if we don't have the numbers to kick start it.

We have a good RP here, I'll explore other avenues on my site if we can expand past what is offered here, but if we don't have numbers, I'll just play here.

Been running silent for a while.
No projects here, but some things I am considering.  Like buying to some to upgrade my brother and his wife's stunt Ultrasabers with sound and possibly getting a mini-lathe to learn metal machining.

I've got a couple myself I'm planing out one with a bellicose adding a nano board and some brass bar grips and once my sister in law sends me her saber I've got to rework it after they broke it again

I have been toying with the idea of buying a Yari pike extension and turning it into a static saber staff.

I have the $60 I need to get a D-Initiate from Christmas, but I don't have the kriffing 20 bucks to pay the stupid messenger. It's annoying, and sad but true. Can't wait till I get a job!

 i have done something similar, but turning mine into a long hilt style.. it will be used much like that of a great sword, or odachi..  still in construction.. im working on the internals so its much easier to pull out the guts to charge/replace batteries, or change the sound fonts/ LED settings

 as a future note.. i am not a fan of the recharge ports.. its a hassle to take out when you need to get to the internals.. for repairs

I agree, I prefer to just take the batteries out of the saber to change/recharge them.

So... I have noticed that we have managed to drop to the second page- and have been dead for about a month.
In the end, we have lasted for about a year. At first, people were committed, and it was cool to be one of us. Since then however, we have kinda dropped off.

I therefore pose the question:
Do we still exist?

Everyone raise their hands- if you don't respond, it won't be counted. If nobody responds, I will consider that as a "yes, we are dead".

I would say just because this thread isn't very active doesn't mean we no longer exist.  I have still seen Racona Nova helping people with technical questions as always, and I'm sure others are still around.  I'm just not as active on the boards in general as I used to be, but I'm still here. 

yea, myself and Ralen are still working on some projects just have not had time to post much, we both got pretty busy with work 2, but we are here, and i have been pretty active with the new comers too,

Thank you guys, that's a bit reassuring. If at all, we will still be doing what we were meant to do- helping others, weather or not we have a sticker saying that's what we do.

Ask the guy if he'll take the $5000 for it (if you haven't already). It's an awesome bike too, 750 CC's is not bad at all. When (and if) you get it, see if you can post a video with the sound.

That does sound like a nice engine.

12 cylinders and roughly 1000 horse power, I want to stick one in a hot rod. . . but that is probably a bad idea.

A thousand ponies in the early models, stick a two stage supercharger and retool for narrower tolerances, get 'em made by packard, and you're pulling 1680 horses!

  I believe a man built a clutch that could take that kind of power, but kind of in reverse. If i remember rightly he designed it based on that used by drag racers, for use in a 75% scale P-51D. That particular aircraft was a project between a few guys including a man named Goransky and my dad, the former has a complete airframe now, with a glass cockpit. He was an F-16 pilot, so it fits.
