It is quite nice.

Though I have to say, I think a bit of the character is lost without some exposed facial feature...Darth V is famous for not having a face but we grew up with him :)

Correct me if I'm wrong on this but its something I read.  In the first Knights of the Old Republic Darth Revan never talked so having a mask to me kinda adds mystery to a person which makes them more intimidating.

I found this a few weeks ago and threw it into my picture folder.

When I first started on this forum, few may remember, my persona was not of an Ortolan but of an Ithorian...when I was prepping my costume plans my wife thought the Ithorian was just too ugly and was really not into it at all...so I gave it some thought, being a tough build with limited vision I switched it up...get married first then judge me lol...switched it to Mr Blue who was raised on Ithor.

But a sith Ithorian would be really creepy...much like a sith Bith...which is an evil rhyme...both races are seen as passive and benign...

I proudly present you Darth Vindica, nee Ignazia Enwandung. She's from post-Legacy, some year after 150 ABY. From one of my unfinished fanfics. She's kinda like a Sith version of Scout from Yoda: Dark Rendezvous: little if any ability in the Force, but lots of ambition, hard work and dirty tricks.

Was searching for an non-sith pic and found this...a piece from Quake...I love this look.

If I were to get into a sith character/costume I would want something monstrous like this...the flesh tormented by the dark side...honest and gruesome...forget a breather, give me twisted flesh!

That last is one of my favorite Sith images of all time.  I find it to be far more terrifying than any of the ones where they actually harm people.

The idea of sith is alien to me...but if I were in the SW setting faced with a sith beauty my soul may be at risk...forget vengeance and rage...simple things like sensuality would be more likely to sway me than anger  :)

On the other I suspect she is playing to a strength against a weakness...her power may come from as much passion and emotional manipulation as fury and anger  :)

Seriously, there's no pockets.  Where does she keep her money?!

Though it could also be a psychological thing.  Remember a big part of Anakin's fall was his passion for Padme.  A female Sith could (and probably would) use this to her advantage. 

Who needs money when your one of the two Hands of the One Sith's Leader?

Seriously though, if I remember, she used her Twi'lek charms (as well as her rare color status as a Lethan Twi'lek) as an advantage. Showing off her assets to distract or intimidate as necessary, with both the power and ability to back it up.

As for being impractical, not necessarily. She was highly skilled in Ataru, and the lack of clothing probably helped with her flexibility. That mixed with her ability of concealing herself with the force, probably made it the easiest for her to do what she does.

I know, but.... what if she had to go to Hoth? :o

She'll just kill someone and steal their clothes.

I believe I saw a picture with her actually wearing a robe in harsh climate weather. I'd have to go through my Star Wars folder to find it though.

You are all very much correct.  Talon used her charm and beauty to her advantage as a suductress.  In fact she was even able to turn one of the Skywalkers (I forget exactly which one) to the dark side.

Firstly, good choice with Darth Sion. A man who refuses to die and by all rights should technically be dead (yes, I'm aware he eventually does die.)

But anyways, you would be referring to Cade Skywalker. And I believe he only turned to the darkside as a ruse to get close to Darth Krayt.

Darth Talon is just that kind of character which is loved by 30 years old virgins because she's an almost naked red alien chick, not because they have actually read something about her.

Yes but I am not a 30 year old virgin who has no actual knowledge of her.  I am a 15 year old virgin who has read a fair bit about Darth Talon.



And also Sion's saber looks sweet.

Talon is another girl in a skimpy outfit which in itself has value, the red skin is interesting, the tattoos I've seen better, being a Twi'lek is a bonus, being a female sith is something also...I certainly do not slather but she is decent to look at so there is that...being evil adds that much more interest factor.

Sion...that is a proper sith.  His pain and evil keeping him functional beyond death.  Honest and evil, I am a fan.

Sorry if someone here got offended, I just don't like exploitation. And Talon is pretty much a twi'lexploitation character.

From a making money perspective, you're right. 

But if the character actually wants that sort of attention and deliberately uses it to her advantage, is that really exploitation?

And for those saying, "But she uses her looks to do..." - she's kind of being written to the audience's gaze.  She could be seductive without showing all the skin, but they use the character to sell books.

It's the equivalent to swords and sorcery art that features men in plate mail while the ladies where chainmail bikinis.  It's not needed, and it's not all that attractive - I find it kinda trashy myself.  It's an overprevalent trope.

I think I'd like that emblem more if it were inverted.

The Jedi symbol has the saber uplifted, representing hope, goodness - all the things the Jedi are meant to embody.  I don't see the Sith using that.

But it is neat.

Actually, while what you say is true in a sense, they've nearly pushed that Twi'lek female are almost always exploited for their natural assets. It IS true that there are a few female Twi'lek that aren't scantly clad, but other than two-three of them, the majority is.

Further, to counter the thought of the overly sexy Darth Talon, they also had Darth Maladi being very demure and classy, though just as sadistic and cunning. With two prominent Sith, they went to opposite extremes with the women/females.

It just looks so eye-splittingly wrong. Lightsaber is a LIGHT-saber, and there's no black light or black glow.

Black lights are more of a purple-ish color.  So couldn't one say Mace Windu's saber was a Black-Light Saber?

In the clone wars she ends up being more grey-ish than sith-ish but hardly Jedi-ish  :)

She has unique qualities in style, sabers, personal look, the whole package.

Be her sith or not she fits well enough for my tastes, she is at least sith flavored  :D

P.S. He could learn that he also has another child long before reading Luke's mind. Specifically, right after learning that Luke is alive, he could order exhumation of Padme's body, with the astonished Imperial performing the exhumation finding not just one, but two obviously rubber foetuses among the remains.

The strength and fury of a Wookiee would make for a serious battle sith for sure.  Chewie was an engineer/mechanic so they have the potential for more than wood and leather crafting.  But the inability to speak in a clear and easy manner that all would understand and would require telepathy or a mechanical translator does put a hindrance to the process.

Could a Wookiee be a sith, well sure and it would most likely be terrifying.

But I also offer that a Gungan would make a great sith also.

How about a Toydarian or Dug sith?

All four choices would make scary sith, everyone can feel loss and rage.  If there are race and force issues with a particular race then so be it.

For me I would like to hold on to my childhood hero Chewie and have his noble race stay somewhat untainted and unstained.

Don't forget about Vader. If Anakin dies, who is going to become Vader? The saga will lose its most charismatic character.

You see him like that because he is.  It's by design.  He has to fall.  How could an audience see Anakin acting like Yoda, then suddenly falling to the Dark Side?  It wouldn't make sense. 

That said, I think people give Hayden Christenson too hard a time about Ep II and III.  I think he did a pretty good job considering that Lucas himself has admitted to not being a great director. 

I personally would have preferred it if he was presented as a proud, strong Jedi, not a whiny little brat. It would have made his fall to the dark side that much more tragic, and, as it stands now, a lot of people don't even care that he succumbed to the allure of the dark side because his character just wasn't that likable. I'm sure they would have cared more if he was a bit more like what we imagined him to be before the prequel trilogy came into existence.

I mean, I was all for him being whiny and such, but I felt like they overplayed that angle way too much.

I agree Christensen does well with what he is given. It's just that he's given a spoiled little egomaniac child to play. Actually,the young Annie was almost more stable! (again, that's by design)

You're right, Anakin has to survive to become Vader. Hence we have to put up with the brat.

I think that the Sith who go for huge claws have bad taste, and their sabers look like entrenching tools. Palpatine's, in my mind, it the epitome of a tasteful Sith saber.

Yes, but Palpatine's weapon is designed to be small, so he can conceal it, and isn't really a Sith saber at all; it's just a Jedi weapon that uses a Red Synthetic Crystal.

So Darth Malgus is a bad Sith because he has claws on his saber?  Gotta disagree with you there.   Saber claws, or lack thereof, does not make a character a good or bad Sith.  It just means that character has a little more flair for the dramatic than others.

I said "Sith with poor taste", not "bad Sith". It's a common flaw that does not make one less effective as a Sith, but less likely to be taken seriously. It's entirely possible, for example, to kick ass in clown make-up, but to my memory, only Joker pulled that one off without seeming to be a total goof.

Don't know about you, but if Malgus was staring me down, he could have pink unicorns on his chest and a snowflake doily hanging from his saber and I'd take him plenty serious.  

I suppose it really is all personal preference.

Hey, Joker was pretty intimidating, too. There are characters who can pull off bad taste. But zillion more of those who cannot.

See, "taste" is entirely a matter of, erm, TASTE! You may consider it "bad taste" to have claws, horns and other overtly threatening appendages on your saber, but with respect, who is to say you are right? Sure, Darth Sidious did NOT have, nor did Darth Maul, or Darth Vader (both of whom were students of Sidious)

I don't think I need remind you that a Padawan (or whatever the Sith word for apprentice is) usually builds a saber that resembles their Master's in some way, and there are instances where this is VERY true; and then those where it's not-so-much.

These are specific examples where the sabers could be said to be either "very close" or "completely different", but if you take the general level of "adornment" as the deciding factor, you can see how Sidious had a large impact on Maul's saber, and on the saber that Vader constructed after he lost his Jedi weapon to Obi-wan. That said too, Vader's saber DID resemble a kind of Darker, more menacing version of his old weapon.

By contrast, Dooku/Tyranus had a weapon that was very ostentatious compared to that of Sidious; complete with a curved hilt and a ventral claw! Was this his original hilt (from when he was a jedi) because if so, it's rather flashy for a Jedi! I bring it up though because Sidious seems to have had no "calming influence" on Dooku's weapon design.

Now to Malgus; what was HIS Master's weapon like? Do we know? I would be very interesting to see that!

Pause it at ~2:16.  The double-bladed saber is Malgus' Master.  Can't remember his name, but he's a Sith Pureblood.  Both have claws.

Also, if you're quick and pause at ~2:27 you can see Satele Shan's double-bladed saber, though it doesn't have claws, is far more ornate and intricate than her Master's saber.  Also at 2:53 you can see a really good shot of her Master's saber.  It's very simple, where hers is very ornate. 

His Master is Darth Vindican, I think.

A real mix of weapons, some intricate, some more basic. I guess it really comes down to your personal sense of aesthetic and in that there can be no "right or wrong".

A little off-topic, but Ventress didn't build her sabers. They were Komari Vosa's first (it would be more accurate to say Count Dooku >> Komari Vosa, as she was also his apprentice).

in my small home town we had one street that celebrated it coz they had a few American families on the street who did halloween. that street also got the most involved in Christmas house lights. sadly that street doesn't do either much now, the kids grew up and those families moved away

we never did Halloween until a few years ago, and then it was done because my mum, sister and I love any excuse for a dress up party. cant wait until the party this year  :D this year ill have a real lightsaber to swing around, not just a foam one  ;D was originally gonna go as Susan Death but the lightsabers win over that, bring on the sithy goodness!

If you look closely it's a Jedi surrounded by Sith. I found it on Google. Though even if he wasn't a Jedi, I don't really classify colors as a Jedi-Sith only color. In fact green would be a pretty fitting Sith color if you ask me.
