If you take the emitter, neck and pommel off the Catalyst the body section is exactly 7" if that helps you.

I'm not sure that US could go smaller than a Menace, and still keep all the bells & whistles - well, unless they hired shade or calculon.

I'm pretty sure given the time and equipment, either of those could put together a chopstick sized saber in a heartbeat. would have to ask for toothpick sized to really challenge them! lol

Most recently, I've gone back to see how well it can actually hold with just the Flamberge emitter ring, the three retention screws, and about .88" of blade socket.

It comes in right at 7.5" end to end with that blade holder and with the Emperor's Hand pommel, has V4 sound and QDs.

That is cool. I still don't know that it gets the title though... because now you made me do this. The hilt section on an Archon V2 is about 7 1/2 once you remove the 2 part emitter. With a Flamberge emitter and a Manticore pommel, I beat you by half an inch.

The main tube of a non-Emerald/non-recharge Menace is right at 7.25 without pommel or emitter, so I think still comes in shorter than that mini of yours, particularly with the EH pommel.







BUT!  I've got an empty Menace coupled up to a Flamberge cross section right now, and it's LONGER by about a half inch than Hauke, so I think the actual shortest MHS might be the bottom half of the now discontinued 4-piece Arbiter.  Which, sadly, I only had the one example of, so I can't build this tiny marvel.
