Here is a 2 minute "just seeing if it has promise" pic....it's cool enough to start messing about further with!
The ends of the Fiber are loosely touching the sides of the blade, so the only light source is the blade itself! Wow !
The second photo was shot with flash, up close, and the glow still shows ! That's a good thing ! I'll mock up a collar to hold the fiber in place against the blade. The ends of the fiber have NOT been heat polished yet, these are 2 raw cut ends.

Nice. Totally thinking of Asuna's rapier sword actually from this idea Tongue Too bad you couldn't make sort of a full hand guard to kind of hide a battery pack for the wire guard
