Vex's custom lightsaber build

This build was largely inspired by Nero's custom build. I wanted to create a nice 2 handed saber. I love katanas and prefer a nice long hilt. I used MHS parts along with a UltraSabers led module and a 4AAA batt/speaker pack you can get from UltraSabers parts site. I used a UltimateFX Anikin Board . Note that this saber is not yet 100% complete as I will be getting a Obsidian board for it. The UltimateFX board works well and is as loud as my MR Vader, however it lacks the power output to light bolth the Led unit and the AV switch properly. It does power them bolth , but they are quite a bit dimmer than I'd like. The hilt is 14 1/2" long . With a 36" Midgrade installed it is quite AwEsOmE to wield ! And now the pics.......

Very nice!  I too prefer a katana style.  I built my own and it's a 16" hilt with at 40" blade...  Yea it's huge.  Nero calls it my Light-Tachi.

@ Bluespike74 : I'm an aircraft technician , I always have heatshrink available from scraps.

I meant the heat sink that you put under your LED that looks like a nut.  I was wondering where I could find something like that.

That's a quick disconnect I installed, again spare parts. In certain you can acquire some from Radio Shack or search online for electrical quick disconnects.

@Bluespike : My bad bro, after looking at my pic I see what your asking about. That actually a part of the Led module. It came with my Archon V1 that my son ....um.....disassembled. It's the Led module used in the Dominix / Aeons / initiates ...V2s.

Nice build personally i go for the longer hilts i just like them better, never been a fan of short sabers just a personal preference though. This is nice elegant long saber i like it

Thanks all, I really like this saber, cant wait to put Obsidian with Li-Ion batt set up into it.
@ Shalateaus the saber is comprised of MHS parts and a switch I got from the custom shop, the Led module and batt/speaker pack can be acquired from Ultra Sabers, and the sound card was from a Ultimate FX saber.
