I believe the brown wire is the positive and the red wire is negative in this particular setup.
I would get my hands on a P4 green and just wire it to those leads and see if that works.

i personally would still recommend trying to salvage the stock setup, it'll be worth way more with the EL setup than it is converted. some FFX are worth more stock believe it or not.

I agree if you are wanting to save the value of it, but if you just want functionality, I would convert it. It would make it a heck of a lot brighter too  |

We did an install of an UltimateFX board, it was pretty straightforward. Sadly we didn't take pictures, otherwise we could help you out there. I'll see if I can find anything online. |
