I hear you. Also the "they applauded loudly in the kitchen sketch" too is brilliant. I'll take Blackadder over Bean any day.
I have the Blackadder dvd boxset with all four series, the two comic relief specials, the christmas special and the one made specially for the New Year's Eve 1999. They are up there with Fawlty Towers as a timeless sitcom. But Bean has it's place too. Much more physical comedy. |

It doesn't really count as a series per se, but I look forward to Red Nose Day every year.
My wife loves Are You Being Served, and it's up on my list as well. However, outside of the obviously impossible to top Flying Circus, I really loved Absolutely Fabulous. And Red Dwarf.

I keep trying to get them to bring back the gunk tank for Red Nose Day. Seriously, think how much money people would pay to have someone like Simon Cowell in the gunk tank? But every year they turn down the idea (but encourage me to fundraise). |
