Title: Greetings from IL
Post by: RedPhoenix on March 26, 2018, 01:46:09 AM
Hi All. Glad to be here. It's been a long time coming. Been drooling over US for about a year now. Just got the Archon V2.1 which I absolutely love. I'm a newb, not tech saavy at all, and decided to go for Emerald because why not, Ill figure it all out (theoretically) and I like being able to change my blade color as I see fit. Let's just say these forums are going to be a knowledge base and treasure trove for me. Funny story to show my complete newbness. Downloaded the US launcher. Was able to pull out the board, figure out where to plug it in, plugged it into my machine and I was pretty darn proud of myself too. Then bam....saber stopped working. Just died. I panicked. Hard. It was ugly. Started reading through posts, had to see if this happened to anyone else, then came across a brilliant post from someone who was having an issue with their sound suddenly stopping and the reply was, "Are your batteries charged?". So luckily I was able to pull out the batteries because those buggers were tight, plug them into the charger, gave them about 10 minutes and plugged them back in. Yay, it worked. So now they are happily charging fully so I can play with my new saber again. And that's my story. Anyways I'm looking forward to reading the forum and gaining knowledge from you all. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum. That’s a great first saber. I see that you have the guardian on your wishlist. That was the last saber I got with emerald driver. I fully recommend getting one.

Welcome! :) If you are using Lithium-ion batteries, Its much easier to take them out with a credit card edge right in the middle of the battery pack. Luckily I saw this trick on Youtube somewhere before I got my saber or else I would have no idea how to get them out. I hope that makes sense and helps. I would post a video but my saber had to be repaired and won't be here until tomorrow. Enjoy the forum, this place and everyone here is awesome.

and with you! I sorta did go big on my first but if I'm honest with myself I have no shame at all. I plan on having this saber for a long, long time.

Welcome to the forum :) It's always a good idea to check your batteries are charged - I know some folks have recharge ports specifically to avoid that heart-stopping moment when your 'sabre just... dies :o

Congrats on keeping your head and getting your Archon back up and running!
