So that new "Emerald" thing came out. Anyone have any idea what it actually means in English? Looks cool and I kinda get it.
What I think I get so far is that it's RBG in one switch with FoC in any color at all, but one could get it in 2 colors + mixed = 3 colors in one switch. Is that it? RGB with combinations of 2 to 4 colors?

Similar to the way you can use various sound fonts by switching them around with your computer, you can use the various Emerald LEDs to create a huge variety of shades of colours.

It'll be easier to show rather than tell, but the Emerald LEDs have only just been launched, so it's going to be another week or two before we get very detailed reviews. In short, though, potentially billlions of colours (shades of them, anyway) but not as convenient to switch between them as with the multiple switches for a standard RGB 'sabre.

With an RGBW emerald saber you can have any color you want without swapping LEDS.

You can have an archon saber that pulses between green and blue , then flashes red.  The choice is yours with emerald.

Ok thanks! It sounds pretty neat now that it makes sense.

You also get the idol hum feature where the light flickers, which I'm most excited about.
