Binging the Star trek movies. Hulu has all of them except 7 (Generations) ... and the new trilogy.
I own all the Trek movies, except for Into Darkness and Beyond. I don't like large sections of either movie, however, I will buy them eventually because they are part of the franchise I love. And even bad Trek movies can be enjoyed and laughed at at their absurdity (Star Trek 5, for instance). I also own boxsets of all 7 seasons of DS9 and binge it at least once a year (I also binge Buffy and Angel too once a year because Whedon).

The picture or the words?
The picture. The words mean nothing to me. Taegin, long time no see! How goes it?
I'm good. I've been around, I guess I just haven't been posting much, or in areas where you are much.

DS9 is underappreciated. For those unfamiliar, if you liked the Battlestar Galactica reboot, watch DS9. It strips a lot of the shiny happy veneer of Trek off and replaces it with a bit more realistic setup. Much more shades of gray. I have the Trek Box set that has the first 10 films. I don't need Kelvin-line Trek - it just didn't do it for me at all. I've watched the films, but don't agree with a lot of the decisions made.

I don't think DS9 is underappreciated at all. I know many fans who say it is their favourite series in the franchise. For those unfamiliar, if you liked the Battlestar Galactica reboot, watch DS9.
I have to disagree with you there. I thought BSG was a sci-fi show made for people who don't normally like sci-fi shows. I only managed to make it through one season as I found it obvious and full of cliches. But that's just my opinion. I have the Trek Box set that has the first 10 films.
Ditto I don't need Kelvin-line Trek - it just didn't do it for me at all. I've watched the films, but don't agree with a lot of the decisions made.
I thought the Kelvin timeline was a great idea to avoid continuity issues. However the execution left a lot to be desired. They lost the essence of what made the original show/crew great. Even Discovery does the same in many respects, however, season 2 was a vast improvement on season 1 and I think it proved that the show works better in a tv format where they can really explore themes of humanity or dilemma of choice.

Right...TNG, DS9 and Voyager are the three I hear talked about the most. For me its TNG first then DS9...especially after Worf came in.

It's always a toss-up between TNG and DS9 amongst fans as to which is best. TNG definitely had the better Captain in Picard. DS9 had much better, more well-defined three dimensional characters. It definitely got better after Worf came in and has the best villain in the whole of Star Trek in Gul Dukat. But, then again, Voyager had 7 of 9 and the Doctor.

Perhaps it would be better to say that DS9 was not as appreciated while it was airing. I know it did not get as much advertising as TNG did, and Rick Berman famously tried to condense the Dominion War to a 4-episode arc.

Behind the crowd lines... a couple of times you can see them standing back. Also, if you go in November, the crowds are much more sparse.

I meant where are the people on the forum? I got on this morning, and only had 3 topics with responses in the 15hrs since I had last been on.
