Title: Any modelers in the house?
Post by: Masemunejm on January 03, 2018, 04:41:18 PM
Got any suggestions for flush cutters?
I had a pair of these : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076M3ZHBV/ (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076M3ZHBV/)

Which cut well, but after a few months one of the blades snapped off

Also had a pair of (or similar from same brand) : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IBOOWQ/ (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IBOOWQ/)

Which cut....okay, but left pinched raised areas in middle, and didn't always cut all way through

Hoping to keep em in the 12-18 $ range due to various monetary constraints.....work has been SLOW

I just used cheap side-cutters to cut parts out of frames. Then used some flat head (if you can find them) toenail clippers to trim sprew connections from the parts. They always came out nice and smooth, with the added bonus that I couldn't dig in too deep with a straight razor.

No prob. I didn't have a TV sophomore year of college, and lived in the dorms. So I ended up dropping a small fortune on Gundam model kits.
