Can it be customized SRD? Lol. I don't think I've shown the new color much yet. Its basically 2 Bright Blue Lee filters over it. Looks awesome.

Sick. What shutter speed, exposure, and F did you use? :P I really like the effect of your pictures.  Might do some with my Bellicose. =]

All shots were done with the following settings:
Aperture: f/8
Shutter Speed: 1/15 seconds
ISO: 125
Self-timer

I also made some slight adjustments to them in Camera Raw, which included lightening the blacks and adding some fill light to make them a bit brighter. If I were doing these shots again, I would probably either set my Aperture to f/5.6 or raise my ISO to 200 or 400 so that I wouldn't have to increase the brightness of them later on the computer.

Cool. My camera doesn't do ISO like that though so I set it at 200. I'll do some more pictures later. =] Should still look good.

I like the last shot a lot, even though the color from the blade looks like Arctic Blue. Guardian Blue is such a tricky color to photograph because it keeps wanting to add that white core, which in turn lightens the color of the blade. Nice shots though.

It says your image is currently unavailable, so there may be something wrong with the image or the way you linked it.

Darn it. Can you give me an example of how the tag line is supposed to look like?

Well seeing as there is still an image that shows up, I'd say it has more to do with the image itself than the link. If the tag was wrong, I don't think anything would show up, but just so you know what it looks like, all you do is use the image tags. If you click the button just below the Italicize button, it will automatically place the tags for you, so then all you do is copy and paste the link between the tags. I can't show you an example because the example would read as an image that wouldn't show up. But as I said, an image is still showing up, it's just a white box with text saying that your image is currently unavailable. That leads me to believe it's something to do with the image itself.

I'm glad you found the videos useful. You can always post a video to show your progress because we all love seeing them.

We usually use Photobucket IMG links. Makes it a lot easier. And yeah, I notice my Guardian Blue blade does look Arctic Blue sometimes. I want to test out my brother's camera when it gets in that he won. He got something even fancier than mine. Lol. I forget which one it is though. If its way fancy and the camera has like full spectrum I will use that once just to see the effects. I think that would look cool. Though if someone else appears in the pictures it isn't us or anyone else. :P (I know some of you don't believe in that kind of stuff but I do.)

Ah, nice. Mine too. I was curious because it looked a lot brighter, and different shade of blue slightly. Must be the kind of bed covers it's laying on. I've only had mine sit against the carpet. LOL

I just have the Standard Setup. I haven't changed the batteries yet either. I'll be honest, due to being on a budget, I couldn't afford to get my Ultrasaber with sound or Li-Ion setup or an AV Switch how I wanted. Though the guarded switch ended being a Godsend for me, since my hand tends to run over top of it a lot while trying to flourish. Once I save, I'm making another video showing my Shock LE pommel and the Midgrade.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with how my Ultrasaber turned out. I would have liked sound, but ultimately, I probably would have gotten annoyed having it in my ear walking around all day at a convention LOL

Well, I have found that the AAA battery setup produces a less bright blade than the lit-ion does.

I'll chime in here and give another side to these comments. The AAA batteries do give off a less bright blade, however, they are easier to replace. One of my Trustfire Li-ion batteries (that I've only had for five months) just died on me and won't recharge. As such, I probably now have to buy a replacement battery from the site, instead of having the convenience of going out to any store and buying cheap replacements. I don't know why the battery died, given the relatively short time I've owned it, but now I have to do without lighting up one side of one of my staves until I get it replaced.

In terms of wiring how hard is it to replace a standard setup for the li-on setup at home? And is there a thread for this question already? Sorry if there is. Thanks

Ouch. That sucks. Just a fluke possibly? That original thought of paying to upkeep the Li-Ion batteries had occurred to me. But it wasn't my deciding factor. Just simple convenience. LOL

But I may as well ask, since I'm ordering a Standard Midgrade blade soon: Does anybody have experience with both of these blade types? Since I'm going down from an UEHG to a standard Midgrade, I figure I should see a considerable difference in shine and brightness, just in doing that? Not to mention the weight difference, sooo much easier to flourish with.  :D

I can shed some light here. The first two blades I got with my first staff were both 32" UEHG blades. The next two blades I got with my second staff were both 24" initiate mid grade ultraedge blades. I will say here that the heavy grade blades add a "light in a tube" effect that the mid grades do not. If you get ultraedge mid grade blades, the color will come all the way out to the edges with no "light in a tube" effect at all. I do not own any of the standard blades (non-ultraedge), however they add even more of that effect to the blade. That is why many people consider the standard blades to be reminiscent of the original trilogy sabers and ultraedge blades to be like those found in the prequels. And obviously, switching to mid grades basically cuts the weight in half of the saber.

Okay, blue isn't exactly my favorite color, but I do own two blue-related blades. My Emerald Green saber is actually a unique blue-green mixture that I like to call turquoise (the saber recently crapped out but I'm working on fixing it myself), but I do own a Guardian Blue saber that I'm quite proud of. I won it in a raffle, which was actually a godsend at the time because when I was told I won I had just been told that one of my grandfathers passed away (my other grandfather also died shortly after, and shortly after that I found out that I won another raffle prize; funny how things work out, huh?).

In short, blue isn't my go-to color, but I have two sabers related to it, one of them with a great personal significance to me. Can I be an honorary or part-time member?  ;D

@Venturous. Point for the blue pics. Lol. They look awesome. So use like, 30 seconds, 10, 3, and 6 seconds? I might try this. Wonder how it would turn out with a green blade and my Bright Blue Lee Filtered Adegan Silver saber. =] Probably about the same effect.

If you are talking about the pics in my review of the blades, then the Shutter Speeds I used were 1/30, 1/10, 1/3, and .6 seconds for each shot, which would be 30, 10, and 3 for your camera. Not sure what the last one would be for your camera, if it even has that option. In my opinion, Guardian Blue looks better at longer Shutter Speeds because it gives off more of the white core effect and makes it look more like a real lightsaber. I'm sure the same is true with Consular Green as well or any brighter color in the spectrum. I wouldn't use anything longer than 1/3 seconds when doing pose shots with the saber though, otherwise the camera will be picking up more movement from the body and will result in a blurry image.

So... what would you say most people at a typical anime convention use, camera-wise? Because keep in mind, I'll be trying either a Midgrade UltraEdge, or a standard Midgrade (possibly, just to see what the difference looks like in person between the two) and regardless of the style I go with, I'm hoping that people photographing me will get awesome pictures.

I might try Consular Green next, to be honest. Though next time, I'm going all out, so it may take all of next year before I'll be able to afford it. What I was thinking was, the Nickel Plated Finish Consular hilt, in Consular Green, with Silver FOC, Obsidian Sound, and Quick Disconnect (later buying modules for Guardian Blue, Arctic Blue, and Violet Amethyst). I realize this would cost more in the long run, especially getting FOC added to each separate module, but I hate the crowded look of the RGB option. I think it detracts from how a proper lightsaber should look, but just my opinion. Then to the Consular, I'd add the Dark Shock emitter and the Guardian pommel.

But after getting my Aeon, I'm pretty sure I'm Blue For Life.   8)

OH! Anyone ever experiment with removing the mirror from a blade tip before? Can anyone recommend for or against?

Most cameras will usually photograph sabers pretty well and most of them will automatically add that white core effect that makes them look like real sabers. You really have to get a faster Shutter Speed to make that effect disappear to the point where only the color shows through. To be honest, cheaper cameras usually are better for photographing sabers because they don't have the kind of settings threshold that more expensive cameras do, and therefore are only able to photograph sabers in a certain settings range, which is usually good for sabers. You won't have to worry about people getting bad pictures of it, unless of course the batteries run low and dim the blade.


I would say do not remove the mirror because that is what reflects the color back down into the blade. By removing it, you will essentially be letting light escape through the tip, instead of reflecting it back into the blade. As such, the blade won't be as bright and you'll have more of a flashlight effect than an actual saber.

I just did some pictures and used an 8 second shutter speed and they turned out pretty good with ISO at 800. Not sure where the exposure was set at. I'll be posting a pic in the Jedi weapon thread. Lol.

It turned out well. It really makes me appreciate that color of green and makes me wish I had a saber with that color.

Then get one. Lol. If you don't already have one an Overlord would look really BA in Consular Green. I'm liking the Standard Issue more though for the upper grooves. Probably a spinning dream. Streamlined yet elegant and good looking is what comes to mind to me about the SI. Song idea... What Comes To Mind. Yes. I will be working on this one for sure. :P Not to be off topic but I think I'm finally getting that metal band going with a good buddy of mine. He has an ANCIENT Ibanez guitar that still amazingly works.

I would get a lot things if I could afford them, but right now I'm nearly broke. As for spinning, I would much rather spin a saber with choke points. Owning the DSI, I can say that it is OK for spinning, however whenever I want to do some serious spinning, I always reach for my Phantasm Initiate V3s. The choke points act as a guide for certain spins and makes the saber feel nearly weightless in the hands. Also they provide a much better grip, both one-handed and two-handed. The only reason I would choose my DSI over my Phantasm would be to have a Sith-like saber. My next saber will be a combination of both worlds, which will be a Phantom Initate V3 LE staff in Consular Green.

my archon with its 36 mid grade blade is good for spinning- my sister loves it, says its beautifully balanced (she has better experience with such things than me). the neck acts as a great choke point so you hold it almost where its balance point is

That'll be a cool staff. Can't wait to see it. How does the say, SI do for minor orbits? That's what I specialize in now. Lol. Since you have the DSI it'd be the same thing really. I'm just going to get a regular SI in Consular Green with a regular Heavy Grade blade.

Speaking of blue, I just replaced my batteries for the first time. I did a short follow-up video to my Unboxing to show the difference. Just replacing the AAA batteries alone brought out a much better and deeper blue hue in the UltraEdge Heavy Grade, and seems like it's twice as bright, at least in person.  :D

MUCH bluer than previously seen. In person I'm not getting the greenish tinge to it anymore. Before I replaced the batteries, I could actually see the LED shining a solid green for half of it. The second the new batteries went in, no green at all. It was an even more brilliant hue of blue than before as well. I was shocked and amazed to say the least.

Where to even BEGIN. I thought I loved my Ultrasaber before, I can't even believe it now. In person, it's wonderful to see that it does get much brighter, even in the UltraEdge Heavy Grade. I get the better shade of blue evenly lit throughout the blade as well, and it just looks so much better in person, either up close or from a distance. It bathes everything in light!

I saw that little flourish at the end there. :P Anyway, I definitely think blue is the best color that shows up in pictures and on video. I love the glow that you get from it, as well as the white core. Both effects make it looks like a real lightsaber. I'm sure getting some rechargeable batteries will save you some money in the long run.

Yeah, I'm really happy I decided on the Standard Setup. It's true, it seems blue transfers to film VERY well. I'm thinking now though I'll order the UltraEdge Midgrade first rather than the Standard Midgrade. I'm really happy with the full look and the pool of light around the blade that it radiates. So I'm sure the UEMG being half the thickness will be simply incredible.

I am going to opt for a pointed tip. That way, it'll really look like a prequel saber. That's likely how I'll order my Standard blades down the road, too. Save the pointed tips for show, and the rounded tips for heavy dueling. Probably safer that way, too. LOL   :P

Nice Aeon. Looks really good in Arctic Blue. =] So I guess there are colored standard switches again. Cool.

Those are UEMG 24" blades, or the Ultraedge Initiate 24"s. I call them Padawan blades. :)

The photographer in me really loves this picture. The sabers coupled with the lighting from the window just make this an awesome shot.

This is with an UltraEdge Heavy Grade, in case you're wondering. The saber is also on my blue bed sheet, and the wall is painted blue! Blue isn't my favorite color, but it's one I associate myself with quite a bit.

not the most flattering photo, my phones cam over exposes- the hilts tend to show up well as a result, but the colours not so well. and the UE blade just really shows up white in the pics as a result.

and these photos were taken as the archons batteries were dying, the right photo with one cam taken before the photo on the left was taken with another cam... the poor arctic blue was being overpowered by the guardian blue next door making the archons blade look like blue plastic :P I also kept getting purple in the guardian on the camera, I promise it was very blue in person! im posting this pic mainly coz its a funky effect

my nephew with my consular in GB (once again my camera doesn't do UE). in real life looking directly at the blade with the UE on it doesn't look all that much darker than the AB with standard blade, but it throws out such an amazing blue light!

The consular is an odd one for me, I'm on the fence about it, I'd have to actually hold one to decide whether or not I liked it.  I was the same way with the bellicose, of course once I held the bellicose i feel in love with it.

I love the look of the consular. Esp with archon pommel and emitter

That photo is most like the Guardian Blue LED offered by US.  The other colors that are very much blue like are Arctic Blue, Sunrider's Destiny, and Dark Violet Amethyst. 

US must want the blue team to win, both of my raffle sabers have been blue, first a Bellicose in AB and now a Dominix in GB.  Fine with me, my favorite blade color is blue.

What can I say?  The Blue Army is a Force within itself.  Have you noticed that few of the main characters that carried Blue Lightsabers died?  I know someone is going to say Obi-Wan but he came back as a super cool ghost that could still teach the ways of the Force.

I guess if you go into the non main characters and use like Shak Tii as an example or those that survived 66 but I doubt there is a correlation

Yeah it's cool being able to cook professionally. It's cool to see fellow chefs here! Aurick I think Prowl is jealous of us! Lol btw I'm a chef-to-be myself! Still stuck in a diner til I can one day go back to the Twin Cities, or Sioux Falls SD.

I say chef but I guess I'm more closely aligned as a cook haha, I work at a hospital kitchen. It's a really good job so I don't mind :) I went to school though to be a pastry chef... So I am... But not in my current job if that makes sense haha being a cake decorator like the cake boss or ace of cakes is what I am trained most in. I can make a mean omelette though lol point to my fellow culinary adventurer Phobius!

I have been a member of ACF since 1991, I have trained with several small brigades.  Primarily focused on saucier and entremetier duties I have also worked as a rotisseur...so sauces, soups, stews, grill/braised meats.  I was lucky enough to lead a handful of small band brigades in a couple busy restaurants. Since I am from S.Florida and specialized in Caribbean techniques, the majority of my meats were primarily seafood, though I do have a soft warm place for pork.

Currently my focus is on infusing my recipes with Thai and Viet flavor profiles.

And as for the thread topic...being blue I am biased.

Yes, AB counts!  Not sure what it look like in a regular MG blade though, mine is a UE blade.

edit- some quick pics of my arctic blue on my consulon with MG, HG and UE (I don't have a UEHG). just took em on my phone so they aren't quite as good, couldn't be bothered getting out the camera and stuffing around with it. honestly cant see a whole lot of difference in the pics, and its not that big a difference in real life either in brightness and colour- I just prefer the look of standard blade over UE. As expected you do get more tube effect on the HG than MG (can see this in the pics).

Lol. You got the saber I want but mine will be with the classic pommel for more of an Obi-wan look. =] Looks nice in a standard Mid blade. What about in person though?

That's got my consulars emitter and pommel on it atm. As I said I prefer standard blades (MG or HG) over UE, they just look better imo. The archon in AB is a really nice match (theres pictures of it standard earlier in this thread) and AB is beautifully bright and still quite blue in colour without the overpowering blue look I think GB has.

Proud member of the Blue Army. As my tags read, and my only review can attest, it is so. I never get tired of that color for a lightsaber. My next saber, either the Shock or Prophecy, will be in AB. Can't wait to see it in person. All the various pics that I've seen thus far though are beautiful.

Shock would look amazing in Arctic Blue. Just saying. :P I'm a blue lover though so yeah. Hence why my Bellicose is Guardian Blue but that's still dead right now. Just the batteries. But once I get the new stuff for the saber I will be posting the heck out of it.

Bellicose will be back in business soon. :D I'll post details about it when I got the new charger/battery combo and usb cable.

SRD is a Blue approved saber and filters do count as far as I am concerned.

How do you guys feel for AB in a stunt set up? Like the 4 AAA Bart set up and such? Still going through color options. Really wanting another blue saber but something different and have been interested in AB for a long while.

Does it eat through the batteries faster.  Some of the dual colors are known to eat alkaline batteries faster because they are created with 2 leds instead of 1.

My SRD does go out fast since the color uses both blue and green but I never have any problems really.

I had to get in on the black friday sale and will have an AB Graflex CE coming shortly.   8) 
I was going to go cheaper with a Bellicose until I saw they were sold out.

Gold and bronze.  I almost went gold and chrome but I thought bronze would stand out better.

True. When I get to my Graflex mine will have a front chrome button and red rear button for a classic look. Mine will be GB.

My second Aeon, as well as the coupler I ordered from a certain other place, have arrived! Behold my massive Phantasm! These 36" blades are HUGE.

Quick question, can I order 32"s from here? I'd assume that's fine, but there's no specific item under the blades category. Just 16, 24, 36, and 40.

Yeah dude just order 2 more 36" blades and in the order comments ask them to shorten the blades down to 32".

the only problems with the dominix are some scratches and theres a weird break in the light when the blade hits something near the middle of the blade

Arctic Blue, SRD, DVA.  More shades of blue that you'll love to have in your arsenal.

Always thought SRD was more of a teal green? At least that's what me, my brother, and mom see in the color. Unless its changed recently since I got it last year?

It's blue-green to my mind. Hard to say one or the other for certain, although I suppose with the Emerald software we can check the colour code and say for certain whether it's more one than the other.

Seems a bit clinical, though... ;)

I guess we'll have to wait and see when someone gets SRD with Emerald then. I would like to know which color it is more.

This is reminding me of the Dave Chappell skit about ethnicity and holding a draft to answer questions once and for all.  I think he even incorporated that into his TV show but changed the name of it.  So it looks like we'll be having a draft of our own huh? 

I also have a stunt DSI in SRD, so now I just need to get a DVA saber sometime.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone but i do have a slight problem my saber wont turn on anymore. I charged the batteries that it came with and the charger says they are good to go or "green" rather but when i put them in the saber i dont here that seductive woman trapped inside my saber saying obsidian anymore and it wont turn on..can anyone help?

I've had this problem occasionally. It may be you have a dead battery, in which case you'll need to pick up a spare (or two - I have several spares for exactly this sort of situation).

Alternatively, your charger may just have returned a false positive on the charge. I've noticed mine occasionally show green when they need more time. Leaving them in for an extended charge can sort this - overnight, for example.

Glad I can keep sound in the saber. Its got the Episode I font with the Obi-wan power on still and will probably keep that set. Ok blue army here is my addition although not a true blue more of a blue green. Seeing as there isn't a Clan Cyan I'll post here. Sorry for the double post but its sutch a "cool" color and I'm proud of my first step in costomizing my shock le. All I did for this is move the red neg. Lead on the led to the blue neg. Just got my emerald Dark Shock and I had it shipped with guardian blue with a pulse to arctic blue. Here it is

Pulsing from one color to a similar color is how I envisioned the pulse would work. I'd love to see that in action!

Yeah I'll get a video up tonight hopefully. Just to bright to see the effect in the day on vid. It's a cool effect, yet with GB and AB it's such a alight difference that unless your looking at it you don't notice it very much. Very cool though! Can't wait to get a computer and start to play around with settings and get some new sound fonts on this one and my archon!

That shock looks great with the pommel and activation box. I feel inspired when i order a sith style saber next time.

Sorry eerockk still working on a video for that. Been working a lot lately trying to pay for all these toys!! Plus just found out that I will be getting a new padawan in about 9 months :D

Should be getting my classic Guardian Blue Bellicose up and running here soon. =] Hopefully connecting to now owning a Windows 8 laptop will work out. I don't duel a lot with my Bellicose so I just put on one of my old Mid Grade blades. Might put on one of my other regular Heavy Grades as well just to seethe difference.

Yup. I'm currently using the original Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade on my SRD Dominix saber and this blade is from that saber, got curious as to how GB would look with a regular Heavy Grade blade. Lovin it so far. Has that classic ESB look which I like even in person. Think I'll replace all my blades with regular Heavy Grades at some point.

Once my Liberator quit working, I switched blades so that my Malice has the longer, Ultraedge Heavy Grade instead of the shorter... I dunno what kinda blade it had originally. It was certainly a lot clearer. :P

Thank you! I didn't document the process, but I can tell you what I used. I took an US blade plug and knocked the metal disc out, then took some opaque adhesive and filled the part of the blade plug it was in to block the brunt of the light. Then I took a rotary razor head and glued it on top, followed by a piece I got from a pack of gears and some steel contact tape around the edge.

Ok guys I've been working on a 10w  rggb ledengin  set-up and this is what I've come up with that I like the best. It was kind of a pain cuz the two green dies are not next to each other so its More of a rgbg. I shot this vid in the dark ( ovously). Down close to the emitter is as close to the true color as my phone will take.

Swapped were Arbiter(Dark) emitter, Graflex pommel, and my GB/VA MLS. Added was my shroud back on with a silver Covertec.

I like this setup, but don't go thinking I've switched sides! Still a Sith at heart!

Exar Kun always carried a Blue blade. 

That he did, Blue, that he did! To me GB is a very dark and cold color, like death's icy embrace. In my mind, it's a universal color.

And yes Exar Kun is one of my favorite Sith Lords.

Dark Liberator looks good in Arctic Blue. Why didn't I get a blue switch on my Overlord though like wtf? Lol. Probably on the lower end sabers is when you get the colored switches. What blade type is that? Glad you were able to get your blade in. =]

I recently bought my first Ultra Saber an Initiate V3 with a Catalyst pommel and a 36 inch blade. I got the non illuminated AV switch with Obsidian sound. I liked it so much I ordered another saber a Liberator in Consular Green only a month later. I plan to buy a few more sabers from Ultra Sabers. I am looking at possibly a Shock or a Monarch next. I am considering doing some customization to my Initiate to make it more personal but I am not sure yet. If you happen to read this and wouldn't mind could you please give me points towards the light side of the force?

Nice Guardian. I'm a fan of blue so. Here is my Guardian Blue Bellicose, Obsidian only nothing fancy, its older 2.0 version too, still works so I still might keep the sound on. Forgot how fun it was having the sound on. =] That's an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade by the way. Wanted this to be my dueling saber. All Jedi appearance for this one too.

Nice! I like the look of that Bellicose it looks comfortable to hold. I love having the obsidian also.  ;D That heavy grade blade is really bright. :o  Do you notice much difference between the mid and heavy blades much? I think I will get the heavy ultra on all my next sabers.

Not really. But if you notice the blue on the Ultra Edge gives kind of a prequel look to the blade which is cool. =]

The only thing that I don't like about The Guardian is the pommel. Other than that it is a pretty sweet saber hilt.

Custom Liberator in AB with Blue AV switch :) my first saber with sound

Libbies are still one of my favorite hilts.  Point awarded for making this day a little nicer for me.

Here are some memorial photos.  After 2.5 years of continuous hard use, my War Glaive has died.  It began it's life as a Guardian Blue with Silver Flash on Clash but was later given more balance by having an SRD with Orange Flash on Clash installed.  The original crystal of the saber lives on in my Overlord (Kempo). 

I'll miss you buddy but don't worry.  I have seen the wires that have broken.  I have tossed the batteries that shorted in you.  You will be returned to your former glory and you will live again.  Stronger than you started. 

You were my very first sound Ultrasaber.  You have turned a lot of heads and brought a great deal of students to the dojo.  Although you were purchased prior to Buck Pucks, recharge ports, and covertechs, you were still stunning in your silver finish.

Thanks for the point. I have nothing but praise for this hilt, and the color.  It's my third dominix, so not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. But like all of ultrasabers products, its a top notch saber and got here in no time flat.

Nice sabers! I love those vents on the Apprentice LE. I'm assuming that the saber with the yellow blade has color discs? That looks like a nice yellow. I knew I shouldn't have posted here. I had -3 Darkside points and was well on my way to becoming a Sith until someone gave me a Lightside point trying to bring me back. I'll have to redouble my efforts!

No color disks here, I was wanting to see all the colors in person before buying MHS stunts so i can make a better informed decision on the colors used in them.  the colors going from top to bottom, GB-SRD-SY-CG-PO.  the CG/PO are in UEMG.

Oh, okay that's a good idea. I didn't think that US offered SY as a single LED color choice, so that's why I assumed it was color discs or filters.

There are 6 special "forum" colors not available on the US website that you can special order for an extra $5. They are only advertised on Saberforum, so unless you're a member here-you wouldn't know about them. Sentinel Yellow, Banes Heart, Emerald Green, Pyrestone Orange, Dark Violet Amethyst, Hot Pink.

I also have a dark initiate in blue, but for now here is my graflex   ;)

That's a good idea. I think it'd look nice on its own. You'd just need a little something below it for blade retention.

So the Scorpion is definitely the biggest and heaviest hilt I have. When I first started buying sabers I really didn't consider the size of them, if I liked it I bought it lol. I picked it because in Emory's video of the saber he said they took all of their top rated features and jam packed them into it so I figured the Scorpion would be a great first! And I have to say it's even more impressive in hand.

Wielding it is certainly doable. I have longer fingers than most women though which makes it a bit easier for me. I'd say the key is just practicing with it so you get used to the weight. It's really comfortable to grip because you have a nice choke point up top as well as ridges toward the pommel that feel good when wielding. I will say I do prefer using some of my lighter and shorter sabers just because it's easier.

The pommel is MHS compatible and awesome lol. I have seen a video or two about disassembling the Scorpion so you can swap out the emitter and stuff so it is possible! I have yet to try this myself because I love the hilt just the way it is and have no urge to change it :)

Thanks Lady J for the solid info on your Scorpion.  A review and photos under the Reviews section would be appreciated by many members.  This saber tends to get overlooked.  Glad you liked my custom Dominix.  The angle of the photo makes the emitter part of hilt look much more narrow than pommel end.  Oops.  Do so like this saber in blue and the av switch glow is impressive.  :)

These look awesome! I'm with D7 the Scorpion has been giving me that saber itch and I think I like the crimson on this better than any other saber style in red.

Very nice. Pre-Old Ben :P That's actually a Graflex though :P You need an Archon V2.1 all decked out Obi-wan style. Can be done. Guardian Blue and classic pommel. I know I want this at some point too. Just sand down the top part of the emitter and get a different grip section on if possible

Yes, you're absolutely right.  That is a Graflex.  I'm not thinking clearly today.  I have an Archon V2.1, but I'm not going to do anything to modify it other than putting a vented coupler in place of the original neck.

You shouldn't, from what I've seen GB is a much more popular option than AB. With good reason too...there's this lyric that I feel perfectly describes GB: "deep blue like the evening sky, I was captured, I confess."

No, no...not at all firewisplet. I think Guardian Blue is awesome too. I just wanted Arctic Blue for my first saber like the original movie trilogy. From the videos and pics I've seen Guardian Blue is a really deep and beautiful blue and is high on my wishlist!! I'm thinking a Phantasm staff for it!

That's wicked looking! The grips look great! Not sure I've ever seen a Reaper pommel on a Prophecy before either. Very nice  :)  +1

Salute! Those are some parts I got from the custom saber shop and the graflex shop. The grips use 3m double sided tape. The glass eye is a 10-32 tap and is being used as a retention screw.

Dark Initiate with 24" blade. It's my first UltraSaber, got it at Wondercon last Friday.  Two days later I ordered an Aeon v4 with a 36" green blade because I have more money than I have money management skills at the moment.  I'm also considering buying a few extra pommels and a coupler to experiment with different looks.

I believe all of us are in the same boat.

Custom saber shop, Graflex shop?? Where would these be?? And does the tape hold up to the usage of the saber? Sorry if it's too many questions...but that hilt looks amazing!

Decided to go with the Aeon LE V4 for my first saber and had to get my personal favorite color, GB. I knew I'd love the color and I was not disappointed at all. US once again did a great job and the Blue Army has recruited yet another faithful soldier.

It's slightly greener than the normal RGB wired AB, definitely lighter than GB. It has two lighter blue diodes and one green diode in the Tri-cree setup to produce the color.

At first it was a little too green for me, but it's growing on me.
